The Secret Garden Annexe is in a rural location at the top of an old farm track. However, South Western trains, to London Waterloo, depart from Alton and Bentley Stations - both are approximately 2miles away -and the train journey to Waterloo takes around 1 hour.
Also close by are Alice Holt Forest and the Frensham Ponds.
Nearby villages include Chawton, home of Jane Austen, and Selborne, with the Gilbert White Museum and the lovely ZigZag walk. The beautiful market town of Alresford, with the heritage Watercress Line with steam trains and themed events, is just 12miles away.

The Secret Garden Annexe is located on the outskirts of the village of Binsted. There are lovely walks from the property, and the village is a 30minute walk across the fields. The path leads you through the Churchyard, look out for the grave of Field Marshal Montgomery (Monty) and into the village, where there is a recreation ground with a play area, and the beautiful Binsted Inn.
We are situated on the Hampshire/Surrey border and surrounded by stunning countryside. However, as well as many beautiful villages, close by are the market towns of Alresford and Odiham, and if you are looking for a high street, Farnham, Guildford and Winchester are all within an hour’s drive. Alton is the nearest town, with supermarkets, a launderette and several takeaway restaurants. The nearest Cinema is in Festival Place, in Basingstoke, with many well known eateries to choose from. There are railway stations in Alton, and the neighbouring village of Bentley, with mainline trains to London Waterloo, and the South Coast.
Should you tire of the peace and quiet, and require some activity, the nearby Alice Holt Forest is home to GoApe with a Treetop Challenge, Treetop Adventure and Adventure Plus Climbing Platforms.
There is a Leisure Centre in Alton, with a 25metre swimming pool, and a Spa. Further afield is the Basingstoke Aquadrome and Leisure Park.
