Being on the canal in a historical house was just perfect and amazing. Love the house inside. I would recommended in a heartbeat.
The location was exceptional. Great walks through Georgetown, near great restaurants and amenities. The home was very nice, well-kept and comfortable in every way. We hope to stay again on our next trip to DC.
We had a great stay, perfect location for exploring Georgetown.
Our family of 5 stayed at Italo’s place and thoroughly enjoyed it! The two level townhouse is located on a very quaint pedestrian only side street in Georgetown facing the canal (note the canal had no water in it when we visited, I think they’re reconstructing it). The inside of the home is pristine and newly renovated with modern finishes. The layout with both bedrooms upstairs works well for families with young kids. The master bedroom even had a small pullout couch so we had all 3 of our kids share that room and we took the other room. Both had en-suite bathrooms so it worked perfectly. There is a nice outdoor terrace off the second floor however no furniture up there so we weren’t able to enjoy it. The location is amazing, the rosewood hotel is just across the street and it’s walking distance from great restaurants, shops and walking attractions. We spent a lot of time in downtown DC and it was an easy Uber ride (~10/15mins). Would definitely stay here again!
Great experience. We stayed for 5 nights and would have enjoyed an even longer stay! Charming location right on the canal - easy to walk to all of the restaurants and shops in Georgetown including the riverfront, and up to the Georgetown campus. Quiet for the area as you didn't hear traffic noise. The place was spotless - super clean, stylish, and well appointed. We didn't cook any meals during our stay, but the kitchen had all of the pots/knives etc you could want to do so. (It's not stocked with food items other than a perfect coffee/tea setup). Water pressure / hot water were abundant. Italo was a great host - clear instructions about check in / out, code for entry etc. Very responsive (within 15 minutes) to my text with a question about wifi access (I was apparently standing in the sole 1 ft x 1 ft dead spot when I first tried to log in - took a few steps and the problem solved itself but Italo quickly responded anyway). Loved our stay!
