We enjoyed our quiet stay in Cape Girardeau. Alyssa recommended two wonderful restaurants! The room and home were beautiful, and decorated with historical influences. No clutter or dust! Peaceful, close to the area we wished to visit, and safe. Our room was beautifully procured, with touches of local cottage industry bath products. The mattress was amazing…and we were greeted with fresh baked cookies! Alyssa is passionate about her Air BnB, and it shows!
Alyssa was on site when we arrive and took us to our room. The room was very well appointed and has very comfortable. The parking in the rear is very limited and extremely tight. We drive a Ford F250 and had to park on the street because or truck was too large for the rear parking. Our overall experience was great.
Our two night stay was wonderful, we will definitely stay in the MacFie House again! Alyssa provided more snacks and beverages than we would have expected and the local soaps and cleaning products were great. Everything was so nice and relaxing and even though the house was full we felt like we had the place to ourselves and all the guests were quiet and respectful when coming and going.
Alyssa was the perfect host! She has truly thought of everything. The house is absolutely gorgeous 😍 We can't wait to stay again!

Located in the middle of historic Downtown Cape Girardeau! Within walking distance to the riverfront, Southeast Missouri State University and all the restaurants and stores in the Old Town Cape district.
Century Casino Cape is less than 5 minutes away and we are only a 5 minute drive to Southeast Hospital & the Show Me Center; 15 minutes to the SportsPlex and 10 minutes to Shawnee Park Sports Complex.
We have parking located in the back of the house and on-street parking is available when necessary.
Walking to local restaurants and shops is a breeze. There are several other rental properties near us and we know many of our neighbors. This house is loved by all on its street!

I worked in destination marketing and sales for ten years! I love hospitality. I have two degrees, one from SEMO and one from SCAD in Historic Preservation. I'm very active in the community and am kept busy by our three children and wonderful family. Fun Fact: 20 years ago when I came to tour SEMO I stayed in this very house. I fell in love with Cape Girardeau on that trip and hope you do too!
