Roscoe · 整套民居 · 4室4床3.0卫 · 可住8人 · Restored mountain farmhouse with private trails
This late 1800's farmhouse tucked against a hillside on a bucolic country lane has been fully restored over the past few years. It’s stylish and colorful, with a large, open, well-lit kitchen, and cozy spaces for relaxing. Sit on the covered front porch or large open deck and enjoy the view of the adjacent mountains and the quiet that can only be found on a dead end dirt road. Just behind the house guests can access a network of trails over 90 acres of private mountainside. Old mountain farmhouse meets modern home - an integration of old wood and new design, with big windows and lots of light. The decor is eclectic - bold colors and patterns combined with reclaimed lumber from the original house. There's art on the walls and books on the shelves. The house sits above an old shed and spring, overlooking the lane and forested hillside below. Explore our private trails, which include\ picnic benches and a lean-to scattered over a network of marked paths crisscrossing the mountain behind the house. Or wander down to the idyllic Beaverkill covered bridge, or beyond that, the old Beaverkill Valley Church.
Very comfortable and stylish house, with everything as described in the listing. Beautiful area, friendly host. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely into the nature - Just as I would love it! It’s a very special place and you must visit. Excellent property with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The ground floor kitchen and living room area is beautifully furnished in wood. We even did bonfire with wood outside and it was such an amazing experience. The drive up to the house is also a unique experience with surrounding water streams, mountains, deers and nature everywhere. Great restaurants nearby. Clear instructions and easy to self check in. Thank you Brian for accommodating us last minute !
Brian is an excellent host, communicative and detailed in his instructions and recommendations. The house is clean, spacious and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Brian’s home.
We were supposed to be camping in the area for my husband's birthday, but ended up with some really nasty weather and a very cranky 15 month old. At the very last minute, we ended up booking Brian's place to get out of the wind and rain. He was super flexible with us, incredibly communicative, and just genuinely pleasant and kind. His place is absolutely gorgeous, as are the surroundings. It was the happiest of accidents to end up there and I imagine we'll return!
Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. More animals than people, by far. The neighbors are cool. Just up the road from the iconic Beaverkill Covered Bridge, which spans an awesome summer swimming hole (and good public fishing spot). The nearby towns of Roscoe and Livingston Manor have lots going on, from local farm to table restaurants and breweries, to bars and art galleries and antique shops. And of course plenty of outdoor activities, year round.
Park in the large private driveway. Walk the lane / neighborhood, or drive the 15 minutes to either nearby town.
