Ken's house is one of the most beautiful, even magical, places I have ever seen. It is completely personal: every object, every piece of art, each bit of furniture, even the house itself, feels homemade, and made with love, care, and the eye of an artist! We arrived to a gorgeous fire in the wood burning stove, a warm welcome from Ken, and a house that was as much fun to explore as the rest of Cape Breton (which is saying a lot). Everything was perfect for us, from the huge old bath, to the kitchen with every spice you might want to use, to the walls covered with the most beautiful paintings and drawings, to the comfortable beds. The area is stunningly beautiful, and the views out the windows are lovely in every direction. We had a wonderful time and would love to go back.

What an extraordinary experience! Not only are you surrounded by the external beauty of the glorious woods of Cape Breton, but you get to be surrounded by a renowned artists works. It truly was a magical experience. The art, impressive collection of VHS and musical instruments were all enjoyed. A perfect place to stay for those who truly appreciate art and are looking for a unique experience .
