Secluded honeymoon cabin on a private hilltop with breathtaking views - lake, vineyard, rolling meadows, and mountain peaks. Access by foot to endless lakeside and mountain trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing; outdoor dining spaces and kitchen, outdoor hot tub and cold shower, playground area, rock patios and walkways made from sandstone native to the property. A marina/boat rental is within a short drive. Cabin is situated on 80acre ranch, ~10mi from Hwy101 in wine country.

This is by far the most unique and beautiful vacation rental we have stayed at. The views never get old and the cabin is stunning. We felt like we were in Spain or Italy for the weekend. High-end home furnishings and attention to detail is evident.
What a wonderful place! The cabin is in such a beautiful area with gorgeous views of hills and lake. Very private, quiet and peaceful. The cabin itself is fantastic and perfect for a couple. Everything is clean and tidy. The outdoor patios and jacuzzi are so enjoyable. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Patricia was great.
We’ve traveled using Airbnb for over 10 years and Patricia’s place is our most favorite stay yet. It’s the most immaculate, charming and cozy place and far exceeds the photos. We will definitely be back and enjoyed the beauty and escape from the hustle & bustle of the city.
We had an absolutely fantastic time. We thought we’d step out and explore the region, but Patricia's home was so beautiful we decided to spent most of our time on the property. From the hot-tub, to the fire pit, to the amazing views, everything was perfect and in pristine condition. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Also Patricia is a wonderful and extremely hospitable host. She left us a lovely bottle of wine and box of chocolates. She was extremely responsive and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Definitely looking forward to returning to Patricia's property!
Stay here if you can! This is a true gem in the AirBnB world - spectacular views, great amenities (hot tub under the stars! Great shower! Spacious kitchen, outdoor kitchen & hangout spaces), totally private, able to hike down to a huge network of trails, easy access to lots of outdoor activities. This is one of the best spots I've stayed; highly recommended.

Do you want to unwind in nature and escape to a private oasis of pure splendor? You will live and breathe the stunning and vast landscapes of this secluded lakeside gem nestled on the edge of Los Padres National Forest (Santa Lucia Wilderness) approximately 20min from the college city of San Luis Obispo and 30min from Paso Robles with its more than 200 wineries and tasting rooms. Creature comforts of home await you at the Spanish-style cabin after a day of recreation in the great outdoors. The nighttime stars and sky are dazzling, especially when admired while soaking in the hot tub and looking up. Rural, rugged, secluded, off-the-beaten-track, easy access to outdoor activities, ex: Santa Margarita Lake Recreation and Natural Area, Margarita Adventures (zip line), Shangri-La Adventures and Central Coast Trailrides (horseback riding), hiking, Ancient Peaks and Soaring Hawk (wineries), private gourmet dinners. Don’t be surprised if you see a fox or two, wild turkeys, soaring hawks just to name a few….:)
Once inside the ranch there is an unpaved, dirt road that goes up a steep incline to reach LaMargarita at the very top of the hill. There can be dust from the dirt road - drive slowly - it’s time for country music and cowboy hats - your car/truck/SUV will love a car wash when you’re in the city! Hike down to the lake’s edge with direct private access to it and additional trails in about 15min; the hike back up can be strenuous. County ordinance prohibits motorized vehicles. The ranch vineyard and livestock (Churro-Navajo sheep, horses, cattle) are fenced. Please observe the animals and vineyard from the ranch roads or non-enclosed areas on the hilltop:-)

I completed the Farmer Experiential Education and Development (FEED) Program at CalPoly where I learned skills in small-scale agriculture and business to “give back” what I may from the bounty of this land. I am proud to be a part of the agricultural identity of SLO County. My life is animated by faith, hope, and love.
