With stunning views in all directions and a tranquil feeling as soon as you walk inside, it will feel like you are right where you are supposed to be! Sleep under the stars and wake up to the beautiful sunset, all from your cozy bed! Enjoy a morning coffee inside or on the small deck outside the dome. Forest hiking options around and near the property. We are also close to wineries. The dome is situated on our 5 acres of property in the hills of Corralitos. Along with our family, there is another family that live on the property. Which means you might hear children playing. The dome has a mini-split that can accommodate cold and heat. We also have a small heater. There is no insulation, the Dome is basically a giant tent, so if you are a particularly cold person, bring layers. Below the dome is a separate toilet and private outdoor shower. As you can see in the photos, the shower doesn’t have a full door, but it is still private enough to not be seen whilst showering. The shower currently has limited hot water. Enough for two people to have a quick shower.

Nice place to stay for a weekend of exploring the area! The instructions for finding it are very clear even though we arrived at night, and we didn't have any trouble getting to the property in a Honda Civic. If you've never stayed in a geodesic dome, be prepared for it to be chilly at night and quickly warm up during a sunny day. For a stay in April, we were plenty warm at night with the bedding supplied and because we were out and about during the day, it wasn't super inconvenient that the space gets so warm. Bringing a robe and slippers to get to/from the bathroom and shower areas is nice, especially if you need to visit the bathroom at night. The coffee situation is a k-cup style machine and there's no kettle, so if you are picky about coffee you might want to bring your own supplies (there is a microwave next to the bathroom area). We did see the host and their kids/dogs in the mornings but they were very friendly and it didn't detract from our stay.

The dome is at the top of a mountain. We have our main house, two other units on the property and 3 other neighbors on the driveway.
Inside the dome is very private.
You don’t have to interact with anyone for your whole stay if that is what you would prefer, but everyone who lives on the road/property is very friendly and helpful if you need anything!
The dome is about 20min to Aptos where your nearest shops/restaurants/coffee/ice cream are.
The closest store if you need milk, bread etc, or meat (it’s a butcher and market) is about a 10min drive. It’s called Corralitos meat market.
In that same area, there is also a decent taqueria.
