Don't miss this treasure. :) The is about a 15-20 minute drive from Kane, secluded in a peaceful location a little bit north of Mt. Jewett in the PA woods. The landscape is really pretty--and the mountains make for such perfect scenery and the fall colors made it even more special. The house is huge and really one-of-a-kind, with original furniture and decorations and a walk-in safe with 200-year-old books. Jessica is a gracious host and she's creating a lovely home for artists and visitors. For a very old home, it was extremely clean and very warm even though it gets cold out at night. It's one of my favorite stays ever. (Also, this is the site of the former home of General Kane, formerly called the Silverside Inn, I think.)

Intimate Portrait Artist, Author, and Instructor. I travel quite a bit for on location shoots, speaking engagements, and book tours. I look sometimes for quaint quiet places to write and create on my own, and also for larger venues that I can host retreats at for my students. I love meeting new people, and assume if you are inviting strangers into your home you do as well. My non profit the Elysian Sanctuary also hosts 5 properties currently, and your stay at any one of them contributes to residencies for artists, writers, musicians, and other creatives.
