Phil & Mary met us promptly at the property. Lovely people, chatted briefly, showed us around the property then left us to settle in. Assured us if we needed anything they were a short drive away and we could phone them. The property is exactly as the photos describe. If anything it is even better once you are there. Quirky, homely, the central heating was put on for us prior to our arrival (very chilly April weather). The water was hot, shower was powerful. Blankets on sofas if you wanted to snuggle up for additional warmth. Kitchen amenities were extensive! Although we had no need to use most of them as we only stayed two nights. Peaceful location with the Blue Vinny pub a few minutes walk away serving good food and a local Spa shop a couple of minutes walk away. Nice touch with a bottle of wine and some cookies left by the hosts.

Troy House was such a beautiful place to really relax in. The wonderful layout and the quirky features meant you spotted something new each time you made a tea or went to bed. There was everything you could need to feel right at home. The beds were super comfortable, the whole place was spotless, and the hosts were so attentive and quick to reply. We had a superb stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! Thank you so much Nathan, Phil and Mary 🙂

A fabulous house beautifully decorated. Something very special and only four miles from Dorchester. Very close to Thomas Hardy’s cottage and not far from the coast. Very quiet location. Host very responsive. Would thoroughly recommend.

Nathan’s parents welcomed us at the door, showed us around their home and we had a lovely chat…we knew immediately we would enjoy our stay here. Phil and Mary said not to hesitate to contact them if we needed anything. They have all put tremendous love and care into their beautiful quirky house and we had everything we needed for our stay. There was a gift of a bottle of wine and local biscuits on arrival which was a lovely thoughtful touch. The house was spotlessly clean, is absolutely unique in history, style and character and we absolutely loved our stay there…will definitely go back if we come this way again! Thankyou so much to Phil, Mary and Nathan 😀
