Bluebird lookout was very nice. It was clean, private and near town. My only complaint was the fireplace. We stayed in February and were looking forward to a fire as described in the listing. That’s why we chose this cabin over other listings. Otherwise it was a nice place.

Our stay at your home brought mixed feelings. The fire pit and privacy were highlights, yet numerous issues marred the experience. Spiderwebs on furniture, lights, and utensils. Stained towels, and a lack of preparation for the specified number of guests added to the disappointment. Dirt-filled drawers and an extremely dirty sofa bed. Washing stained bedspreads and finding dirty bed sheets further tarnished our experience. After a long drive, we had to clean extensively just to cook, eat and sleep. The non-functional WiFi, slow TV and a filthy washing machine were additional frustrations. Outside, a trail of poop from past renters hindered our enjoyment. The offer for cleaning after our complaint was appreciated, but it would disrupt our plans and the $100 cleaning fee felt unjust, and the unexpected $125 pet fee, not included in the reservation, was an unwelcome surprise. The multitude of rules and the mess left behind left us deeply disappointed. We hope this feedback helps.

We booked the Bluebird Lookout for a New Year’s getaway, and it was everything we were looking for! Peaceful, cozy, and very nice amenities - we loved sitting on the porch to drink coffee in the morning. Also, Asheville and Lake Lure were easy drives for day tripping. We would definitely return!

We really enjoyed the stay at this place. It's quiet, private, and if you love the woods, you'll enjoy this place. The entrance to the property was a little difficult to find because we came in after dark. The entrance and gate are slightly below the road level. So if you're trying to find the place at night, the open gate is not visible unless you are pointing your headlights directly at it. HOWEVER, after the fact, we found that G oogle maps is extremely accurate in locating the address. You'll just have to trust that there's an entrance there on the south side of the road if you're arriving at night. : ) That being said, once you find the place, you'll want to stay as long as possible and come back to it any time you're in the area. It was very inviting, peaceful and quiet, and the deck in the mornings is amazing to have coffee on.
