Traditional villa, comfortable for a couple or family, located in a small village, Filippos, only 10 minutes away from the nearest beach of Georgioupolis and Kavros. The villa (70sqm) provides a private pool, garden and stoned BBQ, in an absolute quiet location in nature. Suitable for 4 to 5 persons. The villa is 70sq.m and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, with a large refrigerator, an electric stove with oven and outbreaks. It is equipped with all the necessary electrical and domestic appliances (toaster, coffee maker, kettle, blender, juicer, and teapot). The kitchen communicates with the dining room and a small living room. There are two bedrooms. The first one is consisted of a king size bed, a large wardrobe and its own balcony. The second one has two single beds and a fireplace for nice romantic nights. A large bathroom with bath, closets, shelves and washing machine completes the cozy configuration of the villa. The central balcony is equipped with a comfortable seating where you can enjoy your drink or meal in front of views of the lush valley, while along the horizon you can see the long beach of Georgioupolis. In the surroundings of villa Vaggelio there is a private pool (40sq.m) and a BBQ. The villa is totally made from traditional materials and based on traditional Cretan techniques. Nevertheless it provides all modern amenities and luxury to our visitors. There is a tiny traditional taverna in nearby Maza, about 1.5km away or drop into Vrisses at only 3kms and eat at one of the tavernas with tables under the huge trees by the river.

Lovely house, clean & tidy with private pool. Maria & Nicos always easily contactable if needed. Great location, about 800 feet up a mountain. Very quiet & remote - nearest taverna too far to walk to but that was fine by us. Would be more than happy to stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay at this villa. The outdoor area has unbelievable views and multiple areas to sit and relax. It was wonderful to have a refreshing swim every morning in the pool. You can't tell from the photos, but there is a sea view off to the side, and mountain views on the opposite side, valley in the middle. The gardens are lovely. Inside the house, the main bed is very comfortable, the shower is great, the kitchen has everything you need, including excellent coffee! There are many wonderful areas that are a very short drive from the house. We would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay with amazing views.

Maria was super attentive with us making sure we had everything we needed. The villa is gorgeous and the pool makes it a perfect spot for relaxation and gettaway. Villa is amazing. Views are breathtaking and it is a great base from which to explore the island. We spent many nights sitting by the pool watching the sunsets over the mountains- so very peaceful. Maria’s advice for places to visit and eat was spot on. Would definitely visit again.

A breath away from the villa you will find beautiful paths for walking and hiking, as well as a small Gorge.
Villa Vaggelio is 3 km away from the nearest large village "Vrysses, Apokoronas", in a valley full of greenery and running water. A small village where you can find everything you could expect from a small town - bank, butcher, minimarkets, bakery as well as a handful of tavernas with delicious traditional dishes. While visiting Vrysses, you must try a bowl of creamy local yogurt and honey, for which this area is famous, as well as Sfakian pies.
The area of Apokoronas is full of beaches (remarkable beaches include Georgioupolis, Kalives, Kiani akti, Almyrida and Kavros).
Only 8km away, is the village of Georgioupolis, in a green area at the mouth of the river Almyros. A tourist attraction because of the wide and clean beach while having plenty of entertainment and nightlife. You'll find numerous tavernas and cafes as well as small shops selling jewellery, traditional products and local pottery.

I was born and live in Filippos with my family, a small beautiful Cretan village with few inhabitants. As an accountant, I own an office in Chania City. At the same time me and my family are getting involved with agricultural work, producing our own Olive Oil, wine, Raki, vegetables and traditional products.
