Idyllwild California (elevation 5279ft/1609m) is known for its abundance of hiking trails, small town quirky vibe, and snow play in the winter months. The town of Idyllwild has exceptional rock climbing spots like Tahquitz Rock and Suicide Rock, and the famous Pacitic Crest Trail which skirts along the top of the San Jacinto Mountains. Hikers can enjoy part of the PCT scenic trail which spands 2653 miles from the border of Mexico to the border of Canada during a moderate 2.5 hour hike up from our local Humber Park to saddle junction on Devils Slide Trail. From there, choose to hike to the top of Tahquitz Peak (8846ft/2696m) for expansive views. Idyllwild was once the summer home for bands of Cahuilla Indians, who migrated to the area to escape the heat of lower elevation deserts. The Cahuilla's grinding slabs can still be seen in Idyllwild. Whatever you decide to do, Idyllwild has abundant trails for all skill levels and plenty of activities to explore during your mountain retreat.

The best way to get around is by car. It is a 90 second car ride to the center of downtown Idyllwild from the studio. A 15 minute walk by foot. Idyllwild is a mountain community with incline on most of the roads.
