Stayed here without 3 kids and dog. Was super easy from start to finish. Perfectly clean, facilities were spot , great place for families. Easy to get to the Lake District. Juile and Jim were fab hoists .

Hosts were really informative and friendly, and really understanding of our later than planned arrival time. Lodge is great, comfortable and well stocked with everything you’d need - couldn’t recommend more highly! We’ve loved our stay.
A fantastic place, both the cottage and the "village". Local small lake, swimming pool, gym and a restaurant. The cottage was very comfortable and the hosts were very helpful and indulgent. Close enough to enjoy The Lake District and well communicated. Well suited for staying with and without kids. I would visit it again without hesitation.
Had the loveliest stay at this lodge. Perfect for the family and would highly recommend. Location is perfect, in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings. Easy to get to and is close by to the local areas of interest. The lodge itself was clean, tidy and well presented, with everything you could possibly need. The hosts, Julie and Jim are so friendly and helpful. It really was a home away from home for is. Would definitely come back!

I am married, semi-retired and spend my time in Carnforth or in my place in Spain. I enjoy outdoor activities walking, cycling and when at home I enjoy knitting and reading. We have a cat called Mr Darcy who travels everywhere with us and is a great companion. We enjoy looking after our 2 lodges and meeting our guests many of whom have become friends and return to our lodges time and time again. We have received guests from many different countries, Australia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, as well as many guests from all over Europe. We have a visitors book in each of the lodges which reflect very positively on our guests stays enjoying the lodge and surrounding area.
