We had a great stay at Attie’s in Blue Hill. The area is very beautiful and the hike to the top of Blue Hill Mtn (go up by the creek and down via the meadow) provided a 360 breathtaking view of MDI and Camden. The house was a good 55 minutes from the island so we planned “MDI” days and “Blue Hill” days. Kayaked in Castine, hiked and had a great cocktail at The Brick Block - Jill is a talented bartender! There was some noise from the street but the porch was so nice to enjoy. Wish there was a gas grill. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed for a week at the Arbor house and loved it! The house had so much charm and history built right into it. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived and it was very easy to follow the instructions to access the house. The town of Blue Hill was charming and had lots of unique shops to visit. Attie was a great host and was very responsive, as well has giving us helpful reminders throughout the week. We would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming house. Our party of seven had ample space, the rooms were very comfortable, and the location was tucked away enough to afford some peace and quiet but close enough to stores and restaurants that we could easily acquire supplies or pop out for a meal if we didn’t want to cool. Highly recommended.

Very nice place for us -- three couples, late 50s - early 60s. Each couple had their own full bathroom. Well equipped kitchen for prepping meals. Plenty of distance and trees/shrubbery between neighboring properties, so very private. Road is busy in the mornings and late afternoons, but only light nighttime traffic. Plenty of space for sitting and the screen porch was enjoyed by all each morning and for dinners in. Daytime highs were in the low 80s during our stay and the lack of A/C was not an issue, however, the fans provided in each bedroom were essential. A good place for multiple couples or extended families.

We loved our weeklong stay at the Arbor House! It was like a trip back in time--the house has many authentically vintage features-beadboard walls, furniture, bathroom fixtures, sinks, etc., but it has been well maintained and has had a few key modern updates. The beds were amazingly comfortable with wonderful linens. We especially enjoyed the lovely screened porch--for meals or just for hanging out in the evenings. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. My husband loves to cook and found nothing lacking for the meals he whipped up. The house has an amazing view of Blue Hill and is centrally located for hiking, swimming, kayaking, dining and shopping. We loved the Blue Hill area. Attie and Jules, and the property manager Bill had lots of great tips about the area--they really helped us become familiar with our surroundings in a short time.
