We stayed at Michael & Ru’s stunning home near Haputale from the moment we stepped into this former tea plantation we were truly mesmerised by the sheer natural beauty of this place nothing could have wowed us more We were greeted with such warmth & fantastic hospitality throughout our stay The home that they have created is very special & the views from every room including the bathroom face out on to the rolling landscape below sitting at 3000ft above sea level Ru is a fantastic cook everything is homemade delicious 3 course dinners, yummy breakfasts including bread baked yummy pastries & egg hoppers Outside the spring fed infinity pool rolls seamlessly into a lake below with truly breathtaking scenery we just loved sitting & swimming here all day & Ru will serve afternoon tea & cake They also have their very own waterfall where you must go for swim It can only be described as one of the most natural & spectacular places we have ever stayed I highly recommend Glenmyu Estate

We simply loved staying at Michael and Ruwanthi's place! Our son asked if we can stay and live there :D. Ruwanthi is a brilliant cook, everything she served to us tasted delicious and is worth being served in a good restaurant. The views from the rooms (incl. the bathroom :D) and the common area are stunning. The garden/estate is a little paradise, full of most beautiful flowers and birds. The swimming pool is a bliss, especially after a day of sightseeing or hiking. While staying at GlenMyu we visited the Horton plains (wonderful National park, where we hiked for appr.9 km), Ella (Little Adam's peak , 9 arches bridge, zip line) and a tea factory. There are 6 sweet dogs living at the estate, we loved them, and my son and husband are missing the dogs now... We do want to come back to Sri Lanka and to GlenMyu next time )).
