I've written reviews about AirBnBs in the past. I tend to stay in places which approach five stars. If I could, I would grade this with six stars! But the limit is five. This is a magical house situated above a brook with an unparalleled unobstructed view. Your room has this view. The only sounds you will hear are the brook and birds chirping. The property is at least 5 acres, with an organic garden and stream fed large swimming pool. There is a shared "lobby" with other guests. The lobby is more like an expansive living room with high ceiling. With that view! The owners only rent 3 rooms max. Speaking of the owners, Ru and Mike are warm and make guests feel welcome. Ru is a gourmet cook. The food was better than a top 100 restaurant in the world I went to in Singapore four days later. You can safely eat salad here. The owners are special. They even rescue dogs, which are restricted outdoors and are so gentle and happy. Best AirBnB anywhere! Stay as many nights as you can.
Wir waren leider nur 1 Nacht zu Gast bei Michael und seiner Frau. Die beiden Hosts waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Abendessen und Frühstück war fantastisch. Die ganze Anlage ist ein Traum. Man könnte hier auch viele Tage mehr verbringen. Die Aussicht genießen, Trips von dort zu unternehmen oder einfach am Pool relaxen. Wenn wir wieder in Sri Lanka sind, kommen wir gerne wieder hierher zurück. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt. Es hat alles gepasst :)
Das Grundstück ist traumhaft. Sehr liebevoll und aufwendig angelegt. Super Gastfreundschaft, sowie das Essen einfach fabelhaft. Wir wurden verzaubert. Herzlichen Dank.

Glenmyu Estate, Beragale, Haputale, Sri Lanka. We are a British-Sri Lankan couple who have created our own little paradise on the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. We have three bedrooms for guests in our house completed in 2021 which is set within 5 acres of land. We have seven friendly dogs and lots of ducks that live on the estate. Ruwanthi loves to cook and the ingredients for meals are sourced from our organic garden as much as possible. We love meeting interesting people and find that our guests really relax and connect with nature on the estate. There are plenty of things to see within reach of the estate including waterfalls and Horton Plains National Park. If you are interested in hikes we have a great guide who can show you places off the tourist trail. We are a good alternative to the tourist town of Ella for visitors that want a quieter place but still within reach of the wonderful places to visit nearby such as Diyaluma Waterfall, Lipton Seat, Horton Plains National Park etc.
