With a big yard & extraordinary views in the Animas Valley, across from Durango Hot Springs, 15 minutes to the Ski Resort & downtown, and 2 minutes to golf, river put-in, restaurants, and grocery store. Picture the day your spouse says you did well planning your trip. Reserve today. The best thing about our house is the peaceful outdoor areas. Whether winter or summer, you can relax and enjoy the Colorado views and Rocky Mountain air. Bring your pup and children and relax outside in the privacy of our big yard. Sit at the perfect bench and table to enjoy the morning coffee while looking at the red cliffs. In the evening, sip some red wine while watching the sunset. Then enjoy the warm fire, telling stories, and making each other laugh under the stars in the cool mountain air. We are a 3-minute walk to the hot springs, 2 minutes from Dalton Ranch Golf course, close to the Animas River, 15 minutes from The Purgatory Ski resort, and 15 minutes to downtown. We are also close to countless trails to hike, bike, and explore the mountains. We recently remodeled the other side and have 12 beds sleeping 16 people. We also added another Kitchen to accommodate bigger groups who still want their own space. We know how important this can be. Our house is equipped with everything you need: extra dishes, all the cooking supplies you need, plus storage containers, a blender, and even baby utensils and bowls. We also provide extra towels, pillows, and blankets. We also have two small portable ACs for each room. We also have a ping-pong table in the garage to keep you entertained for hours. We all had a great time in Durango. The house was comfortable and plenty of room for the 13 of us. It was nice to BBQ and make meals while we were there. It was a close drive to all the shops. Nice size yard for the kids to play. It snowed while we were there which was awesome. The kids got to build a snowman and play in the snow. We did the Cascade Canyon train ride which was beautiful. Loved walking downtown to all the shops. We can't wait to come back! We wish we could have been able to stay longer. We didn't want to leave. I would definitely stay at this home again. There were no problems at all!
Megan was proactive in letting us know of a problem with the property prior to our arrival and that she was actively working on having it fixed. The space slept our large group comfortably and was enough space for everyone to spend time together after hitting the slopes. The location is great in that it’s a short distance from Durango but also on the right side of the city if you are wanting to go to Purgatory. It’s within walking distance of the Durango hot springs. She is a super responsive host and answered all our questions, and quickly tended to our small requests.

Dog friendly while we had no dogs it’s nice to know. You can walk down to Hot Springs. It does sleep 10 but dining table sits 4. We are a family that likes to sit at a table and eat together and play games. It seems it was a duplex or the home had the patios included so there are two kitchen areas and the one was a little cool. Probably fine in summer but a weird layout.
Megan’s home was very nice. She was extremely quick in response time. My husband struggled with getting the TV to work & there wasn’t a baking sheet or cutting board which was a bit inconvenient when cooking for a large group; however, overalls everyone enjoyed themselves. Being able to bring the dogs was a plus. The home was definitely large enough for everyone to spread out. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

The neighborhood is quiet. On one side of you is a super lovely couple on the other side; no one lives there. Great for kids, families, singles, couples, really everyone.
We have a six-car garage and a vast parking lot. You could probably fit ten plus cars. It is easy to access the main road, which is excellent for winter and cuts down travel time.
