This is a lovely house, beautiful and clean. Lovely views across the dale. We had a daily visit from a hare which sat on the drive, what a lovely thing to see. The lambs just outside the house were a treat to watch as well. Excellent value for money. Lovely walk from the door to the disused mine and Slitt woods, along the river with loads of waterfalls. Had a lovely visit to Pennine Alpacas when we were there, and went to the local pubs in the village and ones in surrounding villages. Thank you.

Our stay was fantastic. Lovely accommodation. Very comfortable, warm and welcoming. Spotlessly clean and plenty of space for us and the dogs. Kitchen was very well equipped and plenty of table space for the 5 of us to eat meals. Really good dishwasher!! Well appreciated. We had a 3 mile round trip walk to Splitt Woods with the amazing waterfalls. The sun shone and it was wonderful. All in all, a brilliant few days to relax and take in the scenery. Views from the cottage were to die for.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing week at Nicola & Ian’s cottage. The cottage is very warm and cosy and the views are simply stunning. The showers are amazing. We wished we could bring them home. The cottage is really well thought out and you can tell a lot of care has gone into it. The location is just what we wanted, away from things and surrounded by countryside. Thank you Nicola and Ian for such a lovely welcome and relaxing break.

Nicola's house was a gem . Stunning views with great facilities, very clean well laid out house . Extremely well insulated lovely and warm and cosy. The way the house is described , the surrounding areas walks shops and pubs ect is bang on . Would highly recommend this for any one wanting pease and quiet but also the option to do plenty of walking and site seeing. Will be back at some point to discover more of the area .
