This was our 4th stay at Maxine's beautiful cottage and once again we were left wanting more. So peaceful, stunning scenery, it feels remote but you're never too far from a local pub! the cottage was spotless, beds super comfy, kitchen has everything you need, and lovely to snuggle up on sofa in front of the fire in the evening. thank you!

The cottage is just idyllic! Very easy location, access, and parking - neighbours are very friendly and nice. There is a bus service (10 min journey), if you fancy walking to one of the pubs in Allendale or Allenheads to have lunch and a drink. Good cafés serving homemade cakes, sandwiches, and scones in both places too. There is also a very good Co-op in Allendale. The cottage has been sensitively updated. Two large rooms. It is very modern and comfortable, while keeping all the countryside/rustic charm. The kitchen/dining is large and fully equipped with all mod cons - perfect for cooking and enjoying the views. Great walks that are well signposted (incl. Isaac’s Tea Trail). We drove to Hexham's (cathedral, shops, restaurants, large Waitrose/Tesco), Vindolanda (Hadrian's wall), and to Bishop Auckland for day trips. We wish we had stayed longer... next time.

Our second visit to this wonderful cottage. A true home from home with lovely bedding and towels, a well equipped kitchen, a warm and comfortable place. Thank you for hosting us again Maxine, we will be back!

Tillery Cottage is a great place to stay within a great location. Every listed on amenity on Airbnb is accurate and Maxine is a great host
