We're located in a quiet, green, private gated complex bang in between Auroville and Pondicherry (right off the auroville main road) a couple kms from the East Coast Road (that connects Chennai - PY) and the beach itself.
Our neighborhood is surrounded by coconut plantations, lush flora+fauna and is home to birds of all sorts, cats, Puchki, Coco & Anam (our neighborhood dogs)
Auroville bakery, Bread & Chocolate, Tanto's, Nowana, Umami kitchen, Marc's coffee are some of the well known eateries & cafés that are within 1.5 kms from us.
The Auroville township is 4kms - 9/15 mins away by a scooter / cycle.
Pondicherry is 5 kms - 12/20 mins away by a scooter / cycle.
Quiet beach and Serenity beach are about 2.5 kms - 7/10 mins away by a scooter / cycle.

There are regular buses that ply from Chennai - Pondicherry on the east coast road (ECR)
You can get off at 'Auroville Junction'
Our place is just 1.5 kms from 'Auroville Jn.'
There are rickshaws available in and around but you might have to bargain a bit.
Rental shops for 2 wheelers, scooters and cycles are available throughout the neighborhood.
Best way to get around in my opinion is by a two-wheeler. If you want to explore the cycling trails and auroville thoroughly though, I'd suggest taking a cycle and doing so. It's sort of a workout, but so worth it!
