I enjoyed my stay here. I work remotely, and it offered everything I needed to have a productive and relaxing stay. The snorkeling just off the beach was amazing, offering coral and all sorts of sea life, from eels to sea turtles. Marcia was always responsive to my needs and the restaurant would deliver great meals right up to my room. I’ll be back.

I spent 5 blissful weeks staying at Marcia and Kim's well maintained apartment. This is a remote workers paradise. Ideal place for a long term stay. The apartments have everything you need. The internet is strong and fast, great hot showers, beautiful hand done tile work in the apartment, a little restaurant where you can order a delicious (and reasonably priced) meal and meet other guests, Marcia and her husband Kim have been here for 20 years and know so much about the area. They are just good, caring people and have assembled a friendly community of locals and ex pats. I did not have a car, but there was usually someone to catch a ride to Mahahual or Chetumal for supplies and groceries. Oh! The beach. It's lovely with snorkeling, swimming, kayaking all within mere footsteps. Marcia taught me how to snorkel and lent the equipment to do so. The bio preserve Si'an Kaan is right up the way. During my stay, a large group of volunteers gathered every Saturday to clear beaches for nesting turtles. The entire Caribbean has been dealing with Sargasso grass for some years, and Mayan Beach Garden has someone working on clearing their beach every day. I would come back in a heartbeat and stay even longer.

This place is a jewel, far away from everything, the best place to disconnect and relax. Days are longer and soothing here with the sound of the sea. Marcia is a wonderful host and will provide all that is possible for you to have a fantastic time here. Food is delicious, prepared with care and attention. The mosaic balcony now has mosquito nets so you can comfortably sit out in the breeze without being bitten (or less bitten if they love your blood). The sea view balcony is now fitted with nets too. The view of the well-kept garden and blue sea is precious. The apartment has everything needed to cook but you have to get provisions from Mahahual as there are no shops around for 20km or so. There are kayaks, snorkeling and great peaceful days. Nice bed, hot water, internet. Better to have a car if you are just passing but when here you can call a taxi to go to places. Definitively recommended!!

Marcia and her team were totally awesome. The place is unique, as well as the service. It was the perfect escape. I recommend it for everyone who loves nature and tranquility.
