Hyampom · 整套客房 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Riversong Getaway Cabin #2
Charming and tidy, the newly renovated 1 bedroom cabin in the wilderness of Trinity County, is ideally suited as a vacation setting or nature retreat, far away from city living for outdoor adventures. Nestled in a tiny town with little traffic, no cell phone reception and pristine nature as far as the eye can reach. The wild and scenic South Fork of the Trinity River runs behind the cabins on the property. Here you will be able to unwind, relax, explore and make the space your own. Riversong is a newly acquired and renovated place with a long history in the Hyampom Community. The property holds space for 7 cabins and a main house with two units, plus a large community building for shared activities. These cabins used to be fishing cabins during the logging era. The property is in ‘downtown’ Hyampom near the Post Office, Bar/Diner and Store with easy access and plenty of free parking. The 7 acre property is set away from the road and offers large trees in the backyard for shade, some fruit trees and garden spaces toward the front. It offers river access to the back along a small path with a wonderful swimming hole for hot summer days and seasonal fishing (November 1 - March 31). Some of the cabins are rented out to long term tenants and others are for Airbnb use. Unit 2, 6 and 7 are for Airbnb use, see pictures. All cabins are around 700sq feet and newly renovated with laminated floors, AC and heater combo, small bathrooms with a sink and shower (cabin #7 has a bathtub) and a bedroom. The sofa beds are placed in the living room next to a small kitchen area with table and chairs. Each cabin has its private entrance and parking. The kitchens are well equipped with a stove with oven, microwave and a full fridge. There is cookware, dishes, silverware, cutting knives, water kettle, towels, 4 slice toaster, coffee maker and untreated water from the well. Cabin #2 is set up with a queen bed, sofa bed and shares one wall with Cabin #7. It has french sliding glass doors that lead to a patio facing the backyard looking towards the river. Cabin #7 is set up with a queen bed in the basement. A staircase leads up from the basement to the loft where the sofa bed is located. Going out from the kitchen upstairs it has a porch attached overlooking the backyard and river. This cabin has a full bath with a tub. Outdoor stairs lead down into the backyard from the porch. This cabin shares a wall with Cabin #1 and #2. Cabin #6 is set up with a queen bed. It has french sliding glass doors that leads to a patio facing the backyard looking towards the river. Its the most private cabin of all. The rest of the cabins with longterm tenants are mixed in along the row of cabins. The main house with 2 units is at the front entrance. You can park your car in front of the acquired cabin or outside the front or back entrances. MOST IMPORTANT: There is no cell phone reception in town, however we do provide unlimited WIFI with decent speed for group Zoom calls and HD quality streaming. There is no TV or dishwasher in any of the cabins yet. There is also no ATM or cash back in town. This place is not suitable for indoor cigarette smokers. We do allow children of any age but we do not provide any child safety features or equipment. A washer and dryer is available for use. You will need $3 of quarter coins to run a load in the washer and dryer. Please, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
Marlen is caring and attentive. My crew had to leave early and Marlen reached out to be sure everyone was ok and be sure that we were satisfied. They are even considering a reimbursement as the short stay was out of either our control.
This place is very nice. Very quiet and peaceful. Had a great time staying here. Love it The hosts are very nice and helpful
The property is adjacent to a country road and though you can hear the traffic as it goes by, the amount of cars is limited in this town of 250 people. The property is 7 Acres and borders the South Fork of the Trinity River. There are plenty of trails for walking, hiking, jogging, and some pristine swimming spots/holes all over this area. Hiking trail and swim pots options are provided in a folder when you arrive at your cabin. We have a small Post Office and one small General Store that offers some basic non organic food items/supplies, gas and propane. It is important to arrive well prepared with food and supplies before arriving at the property. The next closest town with more amenities is Hayfork, and it's about a 40 minute drive. Otherwise there is wilderness all around this area with plenty of forest roads that open up for hunting in the fall. We have the Hayfork Creek that runs into Hyampom and joins with the South Fork Trinity River which runs through the rest of town. It's truly beautiful, one of the most unique small towns left in California. The people in town are friendly and range from farmers, to hippies, to rednecks, to retired folks and even some foreign locals from across the oceans.
Hyampom is very remote and located in nature as far as the eye can see, it is in the 'wild west'. There is no police station in town and sometimes loud noises are out of our control from surrounding areas, example loud 4x4 trucks, gun shots, barking dogs in the distance or delivery trucks cruising by.
The property is along the main road and is easy to find when you get into town but is about 2 hours from Redding in the East or 3.5 hours from Arcata in the West. You have to keep in mind that there is no cell phone service here and I would suggest setting your GPS before leaving one of these bigger places with cell reception. Also try to study the map thoroughly yourself and be aware that it can be quite easy to get lost in the back country roads so try to know where you are and where you are going.
WINTER ALERT. You will come across some high mountain passes when traveling to Hyampom. It is important to check road conditions before you arrive and in the winter you might need AWD at rare occasions during snow storms. Hyampom itself is at 1500' elevation and the snow barely sticks.
