This is a beautiful cottage in easy reach of Thirsk market place but quiet. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with everything for a relaxing break. We enjoyed our coffee and scone with the complimentary voucher at Tea Time and went back for breakfast later in the week (vegan options available!). We would definitely return here.

We had a lovely short break at Nana Duck's Cottage. The cottage itself was beautifully presented and very cosy and warm. We appreciated the little touches Laura provided, like the welcome pack pack, including a voucher for a local coffee shop! Thank you. Thirsk itself, was a perfect location for our five days in North Yorkshire. There was plenty to do in around the town, with lovely local shops to visit, as well as the James Herriot museum. We'd recommend trying the fat scamps from Thomas the Baker and specialist pork pies from Frank Family Butchers. We downloaded a Treasure Trail for Thirsk, which helped us to explore the town, whilst also having a bit of fun. On other days Nana Ducks and Thirsk provided a great springboard for trips out the North York Moors (Sutton Bank, Helmesley and Pickering), the Dales (Pateley Bridge and Grassington - outside film set for All Creautres Great and Small) and York. There was so much to do that we simply ran out of time. Thank you Laura. :-)

Fabulous cottage which is a stones throw from the heart of Thirsk, which is on a private and quiet courtyard. Some nice restaurants, bars and cafes in Thirsk, with many walks available from the front door. The ducks visiting the cottage on a morning was also a nice sight to behold. Certainly recommended.

Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated 2 bed cottage tucked behind the high street. Set in a quiet riverside courtyard with parking but no passing traffic. The best of both worlds. The ducks happily strutting around the mews looking for some breakfast each morning was adorable. A gorgeous little courtyard of converted mill buildings with an abundance of character and the residents really look after properties, flowers and plants adorning each entrance. Inside it’s warm, cosy, 2 large bedrooms and super hot shower. Kitchen well equipped, vintage chair and antique dresser, with the duck theme throughout, it’s so cute! Laura left thoughtful treats for us and our dog. Felt so welcome. The centre of Thirsk on our doorstep, restaurants, takeaways and pubs round the corner yet all we could hear was the sound of ducks and the river close by. Superb! Laura and Neil are fantastic hosts, thoughtful and responsive. A gem of a place. Can’t recommend Nana Ducks highly enough.
