The host is very friendly but at the same time very professional. He make you fell comfortable since you arrive to their beautiful house. The room has a great space and is clean. Honestly it is difficult to find something better, considering also the economic price. They have also a personal driver who is an exquisite person. Great experience

I stayed for a month and I made this place my home. I loved the Chilli Basil Beef of Sophannara. Her husband Chheng is always awake and available via messenger. The street is full of kids and invites to explore the rural side of the city by strolling around and watch water buffaloes and Khmer traditions like weddings, funerals or religious festivals which all happen right in the neighborhood because that’s where people actually live. For a few days I woke up to beautiful traditional music from outside. Next door I sit down for morning coffee almost every day and became friends with the neighbor family. The first time arriving at the place feels adventurous because it’s red sand countryside road but it’s actually just 50 meters from the main road to Angkor Wat and tuk tuk drivers are happy to service the area. The rooms are spacious. The terrace invites for your yoga practice if you like that. A truly special place for me and my dog Codi who was treated like a welcomed guest as well.

I have been living in Sophannara home stay for around one month. The location is not in city centre but Sophannara has provided a lot of bicycles for you to go to city centre and Angkor Wat, and there is a bicycle lane directly go from home stay to the center along the main road, so it is quite convenient to go to anywhere you like. Besides, the home stay is quite near to a local night market at street 60, where you can find a lot of local cheap food. The home stay cost to value ratio is very good, if you have time, Angkor Wat ticket pass is only minor difference for 3 days pass and 7 days pass, so looking at the place slowly would be a very enjoyable experience. In Sophannara place you will feel like home, highly recommended.

It’s a nice family home. I felt peaceful here, and the family made me feel very welcome. I would stay here again in the future, and would also recommend anyone visiting Siem reap to stay here. Although it’s a bit far from the main town, it didn’t matter too much as a free bike was provided, which proved to be extremely useful.
