We absolutely loved our stay at Julie’s place - in fact we didn’t want to leave! As soon as you enter the kitchen from the garden you felt right at home. Extremely clean, well stocked family home. Beds were very comfortable. Great location, just off the high street. Julie was a great host - very helpful from start to finish. Will be back!

A real Airbnb - the house is comfortable, warm, full of decorative touches, which makes it into a home. Julie provides all the necessary basics to get you started, right down to water in the dog's bowl! The beds are comfortable, the water is hot on demand for showers, the seating and socialising areas are just great, with the extra snug if there is a big group or if you just need to get away from each other... The beach was the main attraction for us, a few minutes and you are on the beach, while a couple of minutes in the other direction brings you to all the shops and restaurants in Whitstable. Thank you for a great break.
This was a lovely house for our family to stay in with lots of space and a lovely kitchen. It's really well located - super close to the high street and the beach. The parking space was a definite plus too.
Loved this house, very stylish. Incredibly well equipped. Bathrooms have hand and shower gels as well as plenty of towels. Kitchen the best I have experienced in any AirBNB I have visited, every piece of equipment you would have at home. Lots of dishwasher/washing up/cleaning products supplied too. Parking very handy for unloading. The house is close to the high street and a short walk to the restaurants,pubs and the sea. we used the fire place in the cosy lounge near the kitchen which we found so comfortable and convenient to pop and get a glass of wine or a cup of tea. Julie is a great host and easy to contact if you need to ask for assistance in any way.

I'm Julie, owner of Heron House in Whitstable. I'm mother and grandmother, I live and work in London. When I'm not working or renovating and maintaining property, I love to travel. I also love spending time by the sea and have another holiday home in West Cork, Ireland that I have rented out since 2008. It's a real privilege to have holiday homes and I like to share these wonderful old houses and coastal locations with people from all over the world. I was drawn to the historic seaside town of Whitstable on a tour of Kent back in 2009. I've visited many of Kent's towns but Whitstable cast its spell over me and I found myself spending a lot of time here, renting beach houses and enjoying the sea and surrounding countryside. I ended up buying in the town's Conservation Area as this house had everything I could hope for. So close to the high street and beach, it's on a quiet corner with a lovely little south-facing garden and parking (a rarity so close to the sea). The house is also detached so it feels very private and the light comes in from all sides at different times of day. I realised it needed a lot of work as it was somewhat neglected but I like a challenge! Five years later... here I am, all done and looking lovely with original features retained and fully restored. It has the same feel I fell in love with but now has extra space in the kitchen area and the added comforts of new sash windows, a wood burner, a second bathroom and large loft conversion. I even gave the garage a makeover and it's now a light and bright chill out area.
