The Lodge is perfect for 2. We also had our two dogs and the garden (so should say grounds) were available to us for walking them. Secure and substantial, it was an absolutely brilliant resource. Comms throughout stay were thoughtful (informed each time owner’s dogs would be in the garden). Pretty much everything you could need in The Lodge, large bedroom, comfy sofa and chair in sitting room, smart TV (Netflix Prime Iplayer), well equipped kitchen, shower with some oomph, and a sun trap private small courtyard. Oh and some basic provisions kindly provided. If you are a dog owner the garden makes this place a winner on its own, but really everything else was great too.

Fantastic in every way! The Lodge was gorgeous, tastefully renovated, welcoming and totally peaceful, with everything you could need. It was ideal for our dogs, with the enclosed courtyard, together with the 'parklike' private grounds to the main house. As for location, it could not be bettered, a gorgeous 10 minute walk to the promenade though the glen, 5 minutes walk to the new Tesco supermarket and a 5 minute drive to the centre of Douglas, yet that peaceful you could believe there wasn't a sole for miles! Tracey was excellent in all her communication with us, friendly and helpful. We have family on the island, whom we visit 2/3 times a year and from now on The Lodge will be our 'go to' place to stay. Thank you for a lovely stay! The Lodge is beautiful and well cared for. Tracey was very friendly and responsive, we had no issues with directions and check-in was easy. I’m 7 months pregnant so we were out and about during the day but stayed in most nights and it was very comfortable, cosy and peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner and the dishwasher, washing machine and drying rack came in handy. Our little dog was very relaxed there and we appreciated the secure garden, it’s also a great location for walks along the prom. It was lovely waking up to birds singing in the morning! We would love to stay again in future and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of booking. Thanks again!

Lovely place with good parking and a massive dog-proof garden. Nice walk to the promenade.

The place was perfect for our weekend. The welcome basket was brilliant and thoughtful. Close to the centre to be able to walk and enjoy it without the car.
