Nice to find a property where reality matches the marketing photos. Mitchaven is a lovely property, with outstanding views out over the Simonside Hills and made an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area thanks.

The cottage itself is amazing and we congratulate the owner on their amazing place. The house and garden, as well as the views, are very beautiful. Our problems are with the management company they have chosen -- Original Cottages UK -- Northumberland. They are unresponsive and when you finally do get through to them you feel as though you are part of a big corporate machine and they simply do not care. The check in process is wild - -they assume you have a UK phone and if you do not, you must contact them a week ahead of time to get the lockbox code! Who remembers a week ahead to ask for a code to get into a house. As said before, when you do get a rep on the phone, it is "press 1 for this, press 2 for this" and then they ask you the postcode of the house you have rented - -how is one supposed to remember the postcode of a house in another country! They also said that we should communicate only using their UK telephone number and not the AIRBNB app! Change management company!
