We were so happy with Denise’s camp. Idyllic setting, perfect for unwinding. Everything works so well, we had everything we needed to be comfortable and happy. Great sleeping environment too - quiet and still.

My friend and I took the first left on the “camp road” as directed, and drove in the dark to a dead end. Luckily we found a woman who redirected us to go longer on the camp road. Once we found it, everything went smoothly after that. The Lake house is organized, clean, and well stocked. We especially loved the beach area and spent evenings there until sunset. We found The Early Bird Restaurant (in Oakland) for breakfast, which was excellent and another day we tried The Governor in Waterville, which was also excellent. The Quarry Road hike offered several trails. The Mount Phillip Trail was more rustic and woodsy which we enjoyed also. The museum at nearby Colby College was enjoyable but we hadn’t allowed nearly enough time to view their whole collection. The week we were there was unusually warm for October, so the upstairs got a bit stuffy, but I remembered that Denise had mentioned there was a standing fan which I easily found and made for a more comfortable night. Thanks Denise!

What an adorable cottage! Small but perfect for our family of 4. Rainy day? No problem…girls watched movies in the cozy loft. Living room is cozy as well. Plenty of games. The front porch is an entirely wonderful space! My parents enjoyed the convenience of the fans on a hot muggy day. The beach is small but ideal with kids. We brought fishing gear.. my nephew caught a bass within 10 minutes! We also brought floats which I highly recommended as there is no dock. All around beautiful spot and the hosts couldn’t be more accommodating!

We had a lovely time at Denise’s cottage. Felt right at home with everything you could need! Loved the location and beauty of the water. Would 100% recommend.

We had an amazing time at Denise’s place. The camp is absolutely charming, super clean, with all the amenities you need for your stay. The location is beautiful, right on the water. Listing pictures don’t do justice to the beauty that awaits you. It was cold and rainy during our stay so we spent the entire time sitting comfortably inside the covered porch, listening to the loons with our coffee in the morning. Denise is a gem of a host, super attentive and responsive. We hope to be back soon!!
