Well, the place is little far from Kodaikanal bus stand. If you like to hike , you may walk to the location from bus stand thru misty forest road. You have to walk for around 4.2 km from bus stand. The place is located to a beautiful place , away from busy city life of Kodaikanal. Must try the common area upstairs, specially with drinks in the evening. The could plays in the common area. Amazing place to enjoy with serenity. Balaji is very helpful and responsive person there . Must try dosa and sambar , prepared by him. Yummy. You will get lot of restaurant/ small shops and cafe (Altaf cafe is famous) downstairs. Enjoy the tea with beautiful view of mountain in Altaf . The suicide point and dolphins nose is near to the place. Even Vettakanal water falls is also nearer. Nice place .

Dostel is a value for money place to stay. Has a beautiful view from the place, cozy atmosphere too. Can improve on: Upkeep and maintenance of room & bathroom cleanliness regularly Please provide fresh bedsheets, pillow covers and blankets

The place was located at a mesmerizing view of the valley, Balaji came to receive us and was really helpful throughout our stay, we forgot to order food but they arranged the food for us as late as 12 PM in the night. we even had a bonfire which was great with the weather and the great company we had in dostel. Must visit for everyone, come directly to their place you will find everything, perfect view, good food , great people to talk and collaborate.
