Yelapa is an indigenously protected area of Mexico that is a true slice of paradise. There is everything from plenty of quiet to music events with dancing, tacos, tequila, tranquilo and more! There is plenty of slow time to relax with and enough to explore, taste, and experience - you will surely fall in love with our little beached cove quickly!
The last boats to Yelapa are at 5pm from Los Muertos Pier in Puerto Vallarta or at 6.30pm from Boca de Tomatlan which is about a 25 min taxi ride from PV or a 45 min bus ride. Please check the go2yelapa website for an updated schedule and factor this into your travel plans.
Yelapa is a cash currency village with no ATMs so it is best to bring whatever money you may think you will need in advance to save a trip back to Puerto Vallarta.

Yelapa is mostly a walking community although there are motos (ATVs) available for transportation up the river. The paths can be uneven and so bring some decent walking shoes or sturdy flip-flops for longer walks. A headlamp (petzl) is essential at night as the street lights are randomly placed.
