Unique cabin, wooded scenery, a bit of a walk to the kayaks (about 10 mins), but worth the walk. Closer to the road than I excepted, but still an awesome place to stay! Micheal was very is to communicate with. The location felt very safe and private. Would recommend!

I treated my mom to a weekend away for her Birthday/Mother’s Day. This place was the perfect location for our short getaway! From the lake access to the porch swings and the really cool loft area we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We spent the majority of our time in Bar Harbor but the time spent in Gouldsboro was peaceful and relaxing! You are fairly close to route one so you do hear cars driving by but the sound of nature drowns it out for the most part! I hope to use this place again on my next trip up to Maine!

One of our best Airbnb experiences! Hosts were super responsive and left so many recommendations of things to do nearby, unfortunately we weren’t able to see a ton of it as we were mainly at Acadia which this place is an easy and not too long drive to! This place was so comfy and convenient to come back to after long days at the park.

We really enjoyed staying at the roost! It was the perfect size for the two of us and our dog- and the walking trails through the woods back to the pond were amazing for our pup’s daily walks. We found for most of the trails in Acadia we did, we were driving about 40-45 minutes to get there from Gouldsboro, as well as to get to Bar Harbor (to explore the cute downtown as well). It was nice to be away from the craziness of Bar Harbor though, and we discovered the amazing spots in Acadia in the schoodic region too late! The hosts were great about recommending some good spots nearby- but I wish we would have paid more attention, because by the time we discovered them we were running out of time on our trip! Only 10-15 minutes away are other great trails as well as a cute little nature preserve that our dog loved! Also, another perk of being a bit off the main tourist area are the great local lobster/food joints! Overall, the place was great and we were glad to have picked it!
