The open plan layout of the kitchen, living room and dining area, along with the large, fully enclosed garden makes this house a lovely space for families to relax in and enjoy. The social space in the open plan living area is bright, spacious and modern. With high ceilings and exposed beams, together with large two aspect windows and bifold doors overlooking the garden, there is lots of natural light filling the room. The space benefits from underfloor heating in the lounge and dining area. In the dining area, is a large table with 6 chairs next to a wall with exposed brickwork - adding that unique touch. Modern, contemporary seating and sofas can be found in the lounge area, surrounding a TV and overlooking the garden. The kitchen is large and modern. There is a breakfast bar with four stools and all the equipment you need for a self catered break away. A family bathroom is located along the hallway from the bedrooms and benefits from underfloor heating. This is very spacious and modern and includes a bath with shower attachment and toilet. A snug room with patio doors leading out to the garden makes an ideal space for children to play in. With a TV in this room, it is also a great multi space for adults and children to relax on the comfy L shaped sofas and unwind. The bungalow has three modern bedrooms. One is a newly finished master bedroom with an en-suite shower & wc. At the front of the house is a twin bedroom (beds can be pushed together in advance to make a double) with plenty of storage and also a bunk room with very sturdy beds suitable for children or adults. This is a gorgeous house, perfect for a family get-away and close to all the best attractions in the area!
Fantastic house for an extended family. HUGE garden and lovely play room for young children. Very quiet location and the off road parking was very welcome and ot does easily fit 4 cars! The firdge-freezer dispenses cold wster, ice cubes and crushed ice which kept my boys entertained. Laura was an awesome host and texted back immediatley with all info.
Went with our daughter & two grandchildren who immediately felt at home, with the property. Even though the weather was unfavourable, the children were kept occupied, with the many toys, games & of course the garden playhouse & climbing frame. Ideally situated for trips to the beach & the local park’s & recreation ares6. Would love to return.
Lovely and freshly renovated property on outskirts of Chichester. Some final snags need to be completed but it’s really a stunning house /space. We stayed with friends and our kids and the host provided a travel cot high chair and some activity packs which was appreciated. Laura was great with communication. There was a glitch with the check in process but that was quickly sorted. There is a train line that runs directly behind the property, so it is noisy in the garden when one passes through but our kids loved it and it didn’t disturb us overnight. We visited local beaches to make the best of the sunshine. Lots of things to do.
The property offers easy access to the many shops, bars, restaurants and cafes that the Cathedral City has to offer. This includes the acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre, modern art, and lots of history.
The location of the bungalow offers incredibly convenient access to the South Downs countryside, events at Goodwood and to the stunning South Coast – Pagham Beach is just a 20 minute drive away and the renowned dunes of West Wittering is also a 20 minute drive.
Although next to a railway line, the garden is secure and noise minimal when inside the property. Fishbourne train station is a 7 minute walk away and from here are direct trains East to Chichester (one stop along) or West in the direction of Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays Outlet Shopping.
Only a 3 minute walk away is a large playground and playing fields - great for children of all ages with football and basket ball areas, trampolines and a large play park.
If you wish to soak up the local history, Fishbourne is also home to the Roman Palace which is only a 14 minute walk away and makes a fun, educational day trip.
If you enjoy walking, hiking and cycling the are lovely costal routes taking in the magnificent Chichester Harbour. Starting at Fishbourne you can head towards Apuldram then onto Chichester Marina, Birdham and Itchenor. In the opposite direction it will take you towards Bosham, Chidham & Emsworth.
Along with these scenic costal paths there are also many country routes nearby where you can explore the South Downs National Park.
Fishbourne is home to two lovely pubs - The Bulls Head and The Woolpack. Both are nearby to each other, with a 15 minute walk from the bungalow and have beer gardens to enjoy a nice drink on a summers evening.
The Goodwood Estate is just 10 minutes drive, which offers a myriad of events throughout the season including motor-racing (Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival & Members Meetings) and horse-racing. There are buses and many taxi companies operating in the area, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help in organising this.
If you fancy a round of golf the Chichester Golf Club is a 14 minute drive away and offers indoor and outdoor adventure golf as well as their tower and cathedral courses for the keen golfer!
Chichester boasts many beautiful parks, some of which with play equipment for children. Oaklands Park, Priory Park and Bishops Palace Gardens offer stunning views of this historic city.
The city walls walk which encircle the Chichester and the cathedral are great if you like to soak up the history of the city.
Chichester's City Gate is an area near the train station which has restaurants, a cinema, trampolining and also bowling.
Set in a quiet cul-de-sac in the rural village of Fishbourne which is ideally located only a 40 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the city centre of Chichester.
Chichester train station offers connections to London Victoria in just 90 minutes. The is also a bus station in Chichester with links to Midhurst, Bognor Regis, Portsmouth and the beaches of Wittering & Selsey.
A car is necessary for exploring the local area and the property is located nearby the A27 with excellent transport links to various local attractions.
There is a bus route in Fishbourne to Chichester and also to Portsmouth with various stops en-route in many villages.
The train station in Fishbourne is a few minutes walk away and from here you can explore further afield.
