The Port Hole is a self contained house situated on an arable farm one and a half miles from the scenic village of Portmahomack, 7 miles from the A9 and NC500. The property has a sitting room , shower room, kitchen, and upstairs, a large bedroom with kingsized bed and a seating area. There is a private walled garden with a hot tub, firepit/BBQ, overlooking barley fields, for the exclusive use of guests. Private parking. Please note, there is no facility for charging electric vehicles. On the ground floor there is a comfortable living room with wood burning stove, sofa, chairs and TV. There is a well equipped kitchen with seating, and a shower room. Upstairs there is a spacious bedroom with seating area.

The farmhouse was lovely and just a short distance from the sea. The host greeted us with a warm welcome and provided excellent directions and information about the area. It was a perfect stay for visiting the north!!!
Lovely relaxing break at The Port Hole. With several pubs/restaurants within easy reach in Portmahomack and Inver, there is plenty of choice. Comfy bed, lovely and warm with a log burner and radiators. The kitchen is well appointed with a combi oven and hot plate. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, we were well looked after and will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Second time staying at this property and as the first visit the stay was excellent. This is an absolute hidden gem and would thoroughly recommend for a quiet stay or for exploring off the beaten track areas of Scotland. 5/5.

The Port Hole is adjacent to Rockfield Farm House. The property overlooks barley fields and has views towards the Tarbat Lighthouse. There are numerous walks from the property to the village of Rockfield, along coastal paths to the lighthouse and the seaboard villages.
The cliff top overlooking the Moray Firth is a 5 minute walk from the property
The Port Hole is half a mile from the main road up a farm track. The village of Portmahomack is one mile from the turnoff.
There is private parking at the property.
The nearest town with supermarkets etc is Tain 8 miles away.

Guests can be assured of warm Scottish hospitality. The Portmahomack area is a great base for those who love the great outdoors. We love walking the paths along the beautiful coastline with our Sproodle Burach ( Gaelic for a mess!) I enjoy eating out and listening to live music and am happy to recommend my favourites.
