Interior stylist & author Pippa Jameson is lovingly renovating her Liverpool home to offer limited sensory stays to families throughout the year. The Sensory Home is for families with sensory needs looking for quiet stays. The house reflects her book, The Sensory Home and has a designated Sensory Room. Crosby Beach & world-famous Antony Gormley statues are at the end of the road. South Rd restaurants are 5-min walk & 15 mins by car/train is Liverpool for Beatles tours, restaurants & galleries. The Sensory Home is suitable for QUIET STAY ONLY. Pippa has partnered with a select few brands that can provide rest and rejuvenation and enhance the sensory experience of a space. As a result, we have the first-of-its-kind, a designated Sensory Room with advanced and seamless integrated technology provided by ZUMA. This intimate room has chaise beds and Zuma ceiling speakers offering advanced light and sound technology settings for meditation, relaxation, music, or simply listening to podcasts. Pippa wanted to create an experience for guests with sesnory needs that allows them to truly switch off from the outside world and the stresses of daily life. All rooms have been fitted with Hillarys Calm Living curtain collection, which uses simple styles, subtle colour palettes, plus natural and sustainable materials. The bedrooms have blackout linings and the downstairs thermal backing with a focus on sleep and cosiness. Each bedroom has specialist mattresses supplied by Rem-Fit, experts in sleep recovery technology. In addition, The Sensory Home has worked closely with Magnet to design a kitchen that is kind to the senses. There is a strong focus on natural materials, and to compliment the kitchen, RAK ceramics has provided the splashback and worktop, with Walls and Floors providing the floor tiles. We have used Dulux Heritage colours to maximise the overall feeling of calm, the soothing colours of nature make the perfect backdrop to the interiors. Our bedrooms have sleep recovery mattresses, air purifiers and Sunrise alarm clocks. Downstairs consists of a second comfortable living room, The Sensory room and a large kitchen with a dining table and wood burner. On the first floor, we have one bathroom and three bedrooms, X1 super king and x 2 king beds. The fourth bedroom is on the 3rd floor which has a double bed. There is a courtyard out the back and free street parking right in front of the property. The house makes an excellent base for exploring the area, steeped in history. For example, the captain of the Titanic, Captain Smith, lived at the end of the road at no.4 Marine Crescent and then at number 17. The road, Blucher, is named after captain Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, who famously led his army against Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 - hence the area is now called Waterloo. And not forgetting the most famous band in the world, The Beatles. Be sure to take a Beatles tour while you are here with Brit music tours or Fab 4 taxi tours (discount if booked through The Sensory Home). The world-famous Grand National is held annually at Aintree Racecourse. You also have conservation parks at the end of the road. Or, beautiful Sefton park 10 minutes away, beach life, watersports, cinemas, bars, restaurants, shopping trips, and if you are feeling adventurous, you can take the ferry to Ireland as the port is just down the road.
