Beautiful cottage/ stay. Anne was incredibly welcoming and informative of the local area. We only stayed 1 night as there for a wedding at Dalhousie Castle which is a 10min walk away. We would return here in the future.

We were very happy to pay a return visit to Anne’s cottage in Bonnyrigg. Principally it is very convenient for visiting our daughter but it is also a very welcoming cottage. Firstly it is very warm and cosy at all times. Secondly the bed is very comfortable which is an important point. Beyond that there is a large lounge with TV and a south facing conservatory which is very warm when the sun comes out. The cottage is quite separate from the main house and the whole site is very peaceful. There is parking beside the cottage. It has WiFi of course. If you are looking for a place of retreat close to Edinburgh you cannot do better. Anne is a very welcoming and helpful host.

Perfect place to retreat back to for a New Year Trip to Edinburgh. Anne was welcoming, and had the heating on in the cottage ready for our arrival. Easy to find and get parked up. As described - ideal for a short stay on the outskirts of Edinburgh, with a few options of how to travel into the centre.

This is the second time staying at Anne’s place, it’s a lovely quiet spot with very easy access into Edinburgh via bus. It was a cosy and welcoming spot to spend the evening after a long day walking around Edinburgh with all the facilities in good working order.
