Rampart View is a super 3 bedroom townhouse overlooking the moat and 16th century ramparts of the old town of Gosport, a southern coastal town in Hampshire at the mouth of Portsmouth Harbour, a few minutes walk from the harbour entrance and ferry which can take you on a short 4 minute ride to Portsmouth with it's wonderful Old Town, Historic Docks and Gunwharf Quays shopping and leisure centre. The ground floor welcomes you into the entrance hall with an integral garage off, complete with charging point for an electric car, plus a ground floor bedroom with 4ft 6" double bed and en suite shower room. French doors then lead out to a small courtyard garden with BBQ and facility to hire in a hot tub, if desired. (Conditions apply - please contact us for further details). The 1st floor is the main living area which is largely open plan with a newly installed modern kitchen looking out over the water towards the original ramparts around the old town. The open plan lounge diner is behind with balcony looking down onto the courtyard garden. The 2nd floor accommodates 2 double bedrooms, both with ample storage and hanging space, plus a high spec newly fitted shower room. One of these bedrooms house a 4ft 6" double bed and the other bedroom houses a king size bed that can split to create 2 singles. The house has been tastefully furnished with carefully chosen mid-century modern furniture, fixtures and fittings, in keeping with the construction period of the property and tastefully finished. All beds are made up with hotel quality crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels prior to our guests arrival. The two upper bedrooms can also comfortably accommodate fold out futon style bed cubes allowing additional guests in these rooms making them ideal for families with children. The property comes complete with two allocated off road parking spaces. Our prices advertised on our website are for up to 6 guests within beds with all linen and towels provided, which are changed weekly with a mid week maid service available on request. Additional guests can be accommodated on futon style bed cubes at a cost of £50 per person, per week, or part week, or we charge £25 per set of additional laundry requested. Child cots, highchairs and stairgates are also available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own childs bedding). Prior to your stay we are happy to help arrange any activities you may wish to organise and answer any questions regarding the local area or things to possibly do. We can also help organise catering options at the property be it an a la carte meal for a special occasion, a hearty breakfast to see you through the day or afternoon tea. All our properties are located within residential areas so we do have neighbours whom we need to consider. If you feel you could comfortably monitor noise levels (in particular out in the gardens and outside areas into the evenings) then we would love to have you stay and have had countless gatherings who have had a great time with us at our properties. If however you feel that it would not be possible to monitor noise levels, then we would have to recommend you consider something more rural, without neighbours. In addition to the rental cost we do take a £500 refundable damages deposit, which is fully refundable within 7 working days of your departure, obviously subject to no significant damages or excessive cleaning. Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue.

Close proximity to Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard, home to The Mary Rose, Nelsons HMS Victory and the HMS Warrior is part of its appeal. With the addition of world class heritage sites, award-winning museums and historic trails, plus Fort Brockhurst, the 17th Century Village and the Alver Valley Country Park, Gosport is packed full of surprises and interesting places. The Dockyard and the Spinnaker Tower are only a short 4 minute ferry ride away and with the retail outlet and leisure complex of Gunwharf Quays there is a range of options for those looking to explore, shop or simply relax and watch the boats go by.
Travel: The nearest airports are Southampton, approximately 30km away, or Bournemouth, around 80km, and Gatwick and Heathrow are the nearest London airports. You can train into Portsmouth Harbour and hop straight on the 4 minute ferry to Gosport where we are situated approximately 0.4 miles away from the terminal or alternatively into Fareham which is 6.4 miles from the house. Parking off road exists. There is also public transport near by.
