Welcome to Anderson Lake Retreat - one of British Columbia's premier waterfront properties. Located less than 2 hours north of Whistler, this serene, one-of-a-kind retreat, is nestled in nature on 14 acres with 1,000 feet of lakefront. This remote property offers access to one of BC's most pristine lakes, majestic mountains, wilderness adventure, and extreme beauty. Enjoy this peaceful and inspiring place and experience BC at its finest! GETTING THERE: Access to our spectacular retreat is an adventure all on its own! Arriving by Car: If travelling by car, we require you to be pre-approved by us before you make the journey. We want to make sure you have the proper vehicle to travel on the remote mountainside road. You will require an All-Wheel or 4x4 vehicle with high clearance for the steep, dirt road that winds through hills and valleys, and around Anderson Lake. It is a beautiful and adventurous drive but it is essential that you be familiar with backcountry conditions. If you are approved and decide to drive, there is ample flat parking available on the property. Arriving by Boat: If you happen to have your own boat, you are welcome to use it. If not, we can arrange for a Water Taxi from the public dock in D'Arcy, located approximately 45 minutes north of Pemberton. The current cost for a water taxi is $150.00 each way. The boat ride takes at least 20-minutes depending on the weather conditions. When you arrive by boat, the main lodge is just a few minute's walk up from the beach. Our ATV will meet you and transport your luggage (and you as well, if you wish). For special occasions, we can arrange transportation by helicopter or float plane. Ground transportation from Vancouver Airport can also be arranged. All transportation charges will be customized based on the situation. NOTE: DUE TO THE REMOTENESS OF THIS PROPERTY, ALL GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. THE SPACE: Anderson Lake Retreat is THE perfect place to return to nature and truly unplug! Uniquely located at the crossroads of the coastal mountains where the rainforest ends and the dry aired climate begins. Anderson Lake often boasts some of BC's nicest weather. Our extraordinary 14-acre property provides a perfect space to gather with friends and family for a mini-getaway, intimate events, and retreats. Enjoy our 2-bedroom main lodge that currently sleeps 4 and has all the amenities you may need. (Ask about camping options for additional guests - extra fees would apply). Update: Camping facilities are not available at this time). The remarkable custom-made main lodge has an incredibly artistic, and imaginative design to it. It is inspired by nature and built by hand. The natural materials used in the main lodge, along with the breath-taking views from every room, will allow you to feel totally immersed in and connected to nature. The design features high ceilings throughout the home, with a full kitchen and dining space to create meals and memories, as well as a living room with huge windows and incredible views. The master bedroom features its own small deck, an open-concept ensuite bathroom, fireplace, closet, a small loft, and large windows also with stellar views. The guest bedroom sleeps two people (there are two XL twin beds, which can also be pushed together to make a King.) This bedroom also has an open-concept bathroom - a bit weird but beautiful! Experience the peace and power of Anderson Lake. Take in the big mountain views, magical old-growth forests, pure fresh air, whispering winds, and other sounds of nature. Explore the gardens, grape vines, fruit trees, a spectacular beach, and pristine lake.
Kasi and Greg, Victor and Heather were absolutely amazing hosts. Victor and Heather were on site the entire time in the owners Den and were excellent on any questions we had. Kasi and Greg were in constant communication and Greg brought up additional propane tank for BBQ. The Kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking utensils and Propane Store and a wood cook stove. Victor was amazing at his knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems of the property. Of course invisible to a renter, but certainly these renters' appreciated the exceptional knowledge and and experience he provided. You do need to bring all your food in with you as a trip to the store is not convenient, however knowing that we came fully stocked with food for the rental period. The house is amazing and completely separate from Owners Den. Anderson Lake is amazing and even the CNR Rocky Mountaineer went past within 100 feet one day. Special thank you to Victor!!!!
I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs around the world from the Swiss Alps to Wyoming & Colorado; this is the most beautiful, most unique and magical experience I have ever had in a cabin. Greg & Kasi are just incredible hosts. This place deserves its own documentary or a magazine cover!
We had such a lovely time at this amazing property! A lifetime of work has gone into every inch of the buildings and property. We swam in the lake every day and enjoyed the stunning views. The drive to the property is an exciting adventure. But no issue at all with a SUV. The hosts are all so welcoming and we heard stories about the property and area that they are passionate about. We loved it all and can’t wait to come back!
What an amazing stay! This is truly a one of a kind spot, let’s just start there. The drive up is absolutely beautiful but make sure you have the right vehicle! A 4x4 is absolutely necessary. Kasi was super communicative and took care of all our needs from the second we booked. The views from the cabin are breathtaking, the house itself has everything you need. All the details from the second you walk in are so cool! What a unique experience and we felt super grateful and lucky to spend time in this space! The wifi in the lower spot of the property is a great touch if you need it, but being able to disconnect from up top is a welcome refresher. So much waterfront space that you can choose to swim from. Great Lake for swimming, paddle boarding and other activities. This is a must go to cabin while you can! Soon enough it’ll be booked every weekend. Thanks Kasi and Greg, we can’t wait to come again one day!!
