Nothing Fancy... Nothing Fake... You're Gonna Love It! Quiet, secluded, private and cozy. Three bedroom, two bath, fully furnished and equipped country hideaway overlooking a small lake. Free WiFi , Roku and other streaming services. Laptop work space with Chromebook, mouse, office supplies and power strip. Sleeping arrangements for up to 6 people. Senior, Veteran/active duty, and first responder discounts Extensive walking trail system through open fields and wooded areas. Microwave, air fryer, Keurig, drip coffee maker, toaster and blender available in kitchen.. There are two queen size beds, one full size, and a sleeper couch in living room. All bedding and pillows provided, but bring your favorite if you like... Ceiling fans in master bedroom & living room... Box fans in each bedroom for air circulation & white noise... Bathrooms are stocked with single use products, but bring your own if you want. Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise) supplied... containers and single use packets. Snacks provided (chips, granola bars, and the like) Free bottled water! FREE FARM FRESH HOME GROWN EGGS! (let us know if you need more) Full length front porch with a 5' swing, drink stands, hanging baskets of seasonal flowers, rocking chair and other seating available and a ceiling fan with lights. Strawberry and tomato plants well established. Help yourself... A ramp has been added at the front door. It is four feet long with an eight inch rise. This was done to accommodate wheelchair access and to alleviate the high step from the porch to the living room. A "Blink" video doorbell is linked with an Amazon “Echo Show” inside the house. Device and app will be turned off/disabled if requested. There are two other cameras, one on driveway side of house and one on opposite end of porch. Both are in plain sight. No cameras are monitored when guests are present. House is wired for portable generator which is on-site and can be operational in a matter of minutes.

I thought it was absolutely great!! I don’t have any complaints, it was clean, had plenty of towels and stuff and it was easy to check in. The walking tails were great, the pond was very nice and clean, and the kayaks were very cool to have access to as well. And to top it off the price point was extremely attractive too!! Will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in the area!!
This home was in quiet, peaceful surroundings with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the turkeys, chickens and ducks and sighted deer each morning. We were glad to find a house with a ramp to accommodate one handicapped person in our party. Roger & Mary supplied everything you could think of and also gave us bottled water, fresh eggs, a nice snack basket and a great supply of firewood. We would definitely go back.
My friends and I absolutely loved the place! The surrounding surrounds are absolutely beautiful, and everything was organized and neat! Roger and Mary were both wonderful hosts!!
There are so many things to do at the Lake House! Fishing, swimming, kayaking, pedal boats, disc golf, corn hole boards, well maintained walking trails around the property and all in a peaceful quiet environment. Roger was so helpful and accommodating-fantastic guy! We had fresh eggs, cantelope and tomatoes provided. Would definitely return!
It was an absolute pleasure staying here. Roger and Mary are incredible people that provide a lovely experience. Swimming, fishing, grilling, bon fires, shooting range, farm animals. I could go on and on. This had something for everyone in the family. Get away and recharge at this Lake House!

Although the address is Long Bottom, we are located just 2 miles north of Chester, Ohio, 5/10 mi off State Rt 7 on Green Up Lane, a well maintained dead end gravel township road. Follow the arrow signs until you see the "Welcome To The "Lake House On Green Up" sign, then turn right, down the hill.
For those of you arriving after dusk, watch for the flickering flame lights.
There are only four families living on the road and we are all pretty much quiet, reserved, and mostly peaceful folks.
Summerfield's restaurant/bar in Chester (2 miles) has good food & brew served in a setting literally unchanged in 60 some years. My wife and I had our first date there in 1965, and “our” booth is still as it was all those years ago. Not suitable for children.
Cool Spot's Country Kitchen Store in Tuppers Plains (6 miles) serves hot deli meals for carry out, cold cuts, fresh baked donuts and other pastries, hand dipped frozen custard (I still think it’s ice cream) Walnut Creek goodies and all sorts of fun & pretty stuff.
Fox's Pizza Den in Tuppers Plains offers inside dining, carry out, and also delivers to our Lake House.
Subway in Tuppers Plains has inside dining and carry-out.
Gas station/convenience stores within 2 miles. Dollar General 2 miles & 6 miles.
Walmart in Mason WV is 12 miles and you’ll drive through Historic Pomeroy, Ohio along the Mighty Ohio River to get there. Retail stores, a Bistro coffee shop and a Farmers Market from May thru October are only a part of the local attractions.
