Very comfortable and relaxing. Sadie was so welcoming and friendly. Fresh eggs, homemade bread and jam! We enjoyed the local pub. This area is very rural which was perfect for us, but not what everyone wants.

Sadie was a wonderful host, she made us feel at home in her beautiful hut. We were welcomed with delicious freshly baked bread, eggs and jam. The house was very nice, with the cutest fire place and very good heating. There were fun puzzles and games to keep us entertained in the evenings. Her dog, cats and chickens were so cute and friendly, not surprising as it is a direct reflection of Sadie!! We look forward to visiting again soon and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice calm getaway.

Nous avons passé un super séjour. L’endroit est chaleureux et relaxant à proximité du gigantesque et magnifique Lough Derg. Sadie est une hôte formidable et bienveillante, a notre arrivée nous avions a disposition de délicieux sirops, de la confiture, du pain, du beurre, des oeufs ainsi qu’un feu de bois déjà allumé. Toujours prête a nous aider dans l’organisation de notre séjour que ce soit pour les activités ou les commerces et tout cela sans être envahissante. Je recommande The Bird’s Nest! Nous reviendrons très probablement. Un cadre vraiment idyllique pour les amoureux de la nature.

It was such a pleasure to be Sadie's guest. We were met with such hospitality, which is beyond comparison. Ireland is a great country to calm down, and this is the perfect place to do that. In spring, the weather was not too good, but we were provided with firewood and such a cosy place (and books) that we had a very nice time. It'd be nice to go there again some time and spend more time at the lake. Or with the cats and hens, listening to the birds in the wood behind. Thanks so much Sadie, we wish you all the best.
