Stay in a piece of Gunnison history at the Blue Door Inn. The upstairs “Davenport Suite” has a Queen bed & Twin w/private ensuite bathroom. Home was renovated in 2020 and was originally built by a descendant of US President John Adams. This unique property sits on 6 city lots and includes a cozy living area, dining area, reading nook, patios with outdoor seating, fire pit, & private gated gardens. Located a few blocks from restaurants, shopping downtown, Western Colorado Univ., & free bus system 2 story home. Shared spaces with other guests include: living/dining and upstairs reading nook. Outside shared spaces are front porch and 2 sitting areas in side yard….one with a wood-burning fire pit, and one with a small bistro set. Kitchen and backyard are for owners use only.

I had such a great stay. The suite is so warm and cozy. Very comfy bed, linens. Great shower and products. Amy pays attention to detail for the suite being so comfortable and inviting. Super kind host and made sure I got in and out okay. Got to chat a little bit and also just seems like a great, caring person. Location is good to get to CB as well. Loved my stay. Pumpkin muffin in the morning for leaving was also great. Coffee bar for guests too. :) absolutely would stay again. Beautiful place.
This has to be one of our favorite Airbnb stays! The private room is located in a fully restored historic home! It is beautifully decorated and has its own private bathroom. The cute lounge area upstairs with the mini fridge and the downstairs coffee and snack station were such a nice touch! I 10/10 recommend this stay! When we visit Gunnison/ Crested Butte again, we will be back!

Quiet residential street in the heart of Gunnison. Downtown is just 5 blocks away, Western Colorado University is 7 blocks. Safeway and free RTA bus is 4 blocks. Hartman Rocks is 4 miles. The charming ski town of Crested Butte is 30 minutes north with the ski resort at Mt Crested Butte being an additional 3 miles up the mountain. Hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, boating, hunting, off-roading, cross country…. All minutes away!
Park along Spruce Street. Please do not block mailbox. Free RTA Gunnison to Crested Butte bus is 4 blocks away.

As many find when they visit the Tucson desert or the Gunnison Valley, they are both truly amazing spots. I enjoy gardening, baking, interior/exterior design, and being in the great outdoors.
