Gill’s place was great for us. Karu was there to receive us. He was kind and attentive. The place is surrounded with beautiful vegetation and we got to see many birds from our balcony. We were traveling with a 4x4, so it was great to be near many waterfalls. I would definitely come again.

If you want a quiet, secluded place to relax and unwind, Leopards Lodge is pretty much perfect. The amenities are simple but perfectly adequate, and the location of the lodge at the top of the property, gives lovely views of the surrounding mountains. We spent our mornings watching a variety of birdlife, including hornbills and paradise flycatchers. Karunasena was very accommodating and his family cooked us the most delicious meals.

Leopards lodge is a beautiful place. It's pretty close to the town but feels like in the nature. Karu was amazing! He can tell you lot of cool places to rivers, lakes. Food is simple and delicious. Thank you Karu.

This is a very simple and basic lodge (as explained in Gill’s description) in a non touristic area. Karu, who takes care of the house, is extremely kind. Despite his limited knowledge of English, he does his best to understand what we need. He cooked for us (5 adults) breakfast and dinner. Meals were simple but tasty and varied. It is possible from the lodge to go with Karu as a guide in a one day trek to World’s End through a tea plantation. It is a very nice and smooth hike. It is unfortunate that the lodge is not really secluded and remote. It is surrounded by houses and is nearby a busy temple, near the university campus. When we were there, the radio at the temple played music all night long during one night. During the other two nights, stray dogs were barking quite loudly. The good side of the lodge’s location in the suburbs of Pambahinna is the easy access to some facilities (bakeries, fruits shops, groceries and buses).

Lovely, peaceful stay surrounded by trees and birds. Kari is a wonderful host and great cook.
