We loved our stay at New Years. Cozy cabin in the trees just like we wanted. We even got 6 inches of snow. It was perfect.

This is a really cute and comfortable mountain home with great amenities. The hosts clearly put extra effort into design and decor, making for lovely ambiance. Would stay here again and found it quite reasonably priced compared to other homes in the area. Not far from a couple markets (Bear Valley and Camp Connell) in case you forget anything at the grocery store on the way up. We were easily able to hike and swim to our hearts' content at Big Trees, Lake Alpine, Ebbett's Pass, etc. A+

We enjoyed our stay at Jeff's cabin in Camp Connell. It's a great location between Bear Valley/Lake Alpine and Calaveras Big Trees SP and Arnold, and we took advantage of it's proximity to enjoying kayaking, cycling and multiple visits to Calaveras Big Trees. I was working remote during the week and was a little concerned about wifi connection, but it was great and was able to support multiple webex/video calls. In the evening we took advantage of the BBQ and enjoyed dinner on the large deck, it was overall a very relaxing visit and we were sad to pack up after a week in the mountains and head back to the Bay Area. Communication and check-in were super easy.

My family and I absolutely adored this cabin. It is super spacious and had everything that we could have needed or wanted for our vacation. The location is so picturesque, and the peaceful atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Highly recommend!

Excellent place, especially for the price!! I had tried to stay in a different location altogether since I didn't need anything too fancy and I found cheaper things in other areas but circumstances required that I be in this area. So after hunting and getting an idea about the area, prices vs quality, extra features etc. This one was the clear winner! From what I had to choose from, this was in the lower price range (may have been a couple cheaper, but not as good) and it had great features. I was worried it'd be too good to be true, but in general it was better than I even expected! Cabin had more sleeping areas than we needed. Games and activities provided that can entertain any kids. I bring a Fire Stick and my laptop most places to watch things, but they had a smart TV AND a dvd/blu-ray player and 4 diferent binders full of dvds organized into ratings/theme (I believe there was a binder dedicated to Christmas movies lol). May not have needing them, but the thoughtful Ness of things like that leave an impression on me. The area is remote, no service whatsoever but decent wifi (I'm used to my 1000mbs fiber and I was fine with the internet here). The particular street/neighborhood was ten or so cabins, clearly set up for vacation homes or rentals. So we were actually alone for quite a ways. Think I saw one car pass our cabin the whole time. And great "outdoors" outside lol I'd highly recommend the place. I'm usually value over anything... Get to do fun things because we figure out the cheapest way to do them... In the end I have no problem with what I spent fr a week. In fact, I likely saved money on not having to go pay for extra entertainment because we're bored and need to do something. I will likely have to be in that area again, and as long as my kids are with me again I'll be back St the same place because I know what I'm getting, plus it was a great place to start a tradition!
