What a fantastic place to stay! The chateau is beautiful and very well appointed. We cooked at home most days and the kitchen had all the tools and facilities we required. The rooms are light and airy, with two rooms (one large and one smaller) on each floor. The pool is lovely and the living area has a large TV connected to the internet so we could watch Netflix, etc. Peter - the host - lives in a separate part of the chateau and is always available but unobtrusive. He gave us great advice on local restaurants (including a super-cheap bistrot that's attached to a Michelin starred restaurant less than 10 minutes from the chateau); wine tastings (free tastings from a different producer every day at the local wine museum, about 400 yards from the chateau) and other things to do and see. Monbazillac itself is a charming village, with a large chateau that does wine tours and a Sunday evening food market that seems to be attended by the whole village! We'll certainly be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Château. The hosts are so friendly and made the accommodation really nice and welcoming. The area is lovely, the children loved it and we have had great family time. We have stayed with 2 families and 7 children in total. The house was very well equipped. We have prepared great meals in the wonderful kitchen and loved the atmosphere of all the rooms. The views are breathtaking! We can definitely recommend a stay at this special place.

This is such a lovely place. The chateau stayed cool and welcoming during very hot summer days. The numerous rooms are spacious and airy so everyone can spread out or spend time together. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully done. The kitchen is so well-equipped with everything you need; it would be easy to settle in and stay for much longer! The pool is refreshing with incredible views. We would be thrilled to return again and again.
