This home/cottage is located in a very secluded woodsy area. It is a beautiful location. Although there are houses somewhat nearby, we rarely saw anyone else on the beach. The beach is incredible for rock hunting, which we love. Bring beach shoes. Loved that there is a boardwalk from the house all the way to the beach! The house is basic and the furniture is worn a bit, but that did not affect our stay. The full bathroom, and half bath are updated and clean. We brought our own little Keurig coffee maker, and that was a good thing. We didn't see a coffee maker there, but we didn't search for one either. The beds were all very comfortable, according to everyone who stayed. That is a big plus. If you camped as a kid, and don't expect perfect furniture, you will love this place for its rustic charm and incredible location and beach.

A few of the other reviewers have mentioned the place being a little dirty. While true, it’s not gross by any means. The main part of the house is older and has that Great Lakes beach cottage old, quirky vibe. That makes it seem a little funky but the place is very nice and comfortable. The living room furniture is beat up and the kitchen is pretty spartan. That being said the bedrooms are very nice and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are nicer in person than the pictures show. The screened jn porch is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the scenery. If you’re looking for a super fancy place this isn’t it, but for the price this place is great. Something a little nicer could easily go for double and it wouldn’t be worth it. The beach is beautiful and quiet. My wife is obsessed with Petoeskey stone hunting and the beach might be the best we’ve ever hunted on. Northport is a great town and you really don’t need to leave the northern half of the peninsula. I highly recommend this place If you like old style lake cottages and not expecting something out of a magazine. If you want that you should pay the 800+ a night that a fancy place can pull.

Great rental! About a ten minute drive into Northport. Very secluded, the home is nestled back in the woods. Only saw one person while we were on the beach (which was a positive for us) Great views of Grand Traverse Bay from two of the bedrooms.

Great beach (lots of rocks so bring water shoes!), and cute cottage with that old, cozy up north feel.

Lovely cottage with everything you need for relaxing and taking in all the area has to offer. The scenery is breathtaking. Not far for grocery, restaurants, and shopping. We will be coming back.
