We initially booked the Rustic River Retreat because of its close proximity to the wedding venue, Simpson Lakes; yet what began as convenience was quickly transformed into a truly relaxing and renewing weekend experience. We were so pleasantly surprised - first, by the property’s beauty secondly, by its spaciousness and thirdly, by the outstanding private chef services offered by our very gracious host, Michelle. You feel as if you have gone back in time as you walk this beautiful property that meanders along the pristine Withlacoochee River under the cypress and oak hammocks. And if that isn’t enough, there is a path that leads from the main house with all its modern conveniences to a rustic bunk house that can accommodate the more outdoorsy types in true “glamping” style. On the Sunday after our nephew’s wedding, we hosted a brunch for the family and Michelle took care of all the details, providing a delicious southern-style buffet for our guests. She is a fabulous chef and hostess and handled everything. It was the easiest party that we ever gave. We highly recommend staying at this rustic and beautiful retreat. It is the perfect place for a peaceful romantic getaway or a fun family reunion. We can’t wait to return and next time we are bringing the kayaks and fishing poles.

This place is absolutely Picture perfect (Zen) We planned a last minute trip and found this awesome house it had everything we needed and more. The house was awesome the communication was great. We are already planning our second trip. We saw peacocks, we listen to the birds, and enjoyed our coffee while watching rabbits hop by. They have done an awesome job to make you feel right at home. The porch has a view that is absolutely perfect. We were going 4-wheeling and camp sites were booked and we were less than 10 minutes away from everything and Croom(4-wheeling park)! There is an awesome Mexican restaurant, gas stations, Cracker Barrel and everything you need right around the corner.

We loved staying at this Airbnb! It was so beautiful and peaceful! Off the beaten path, just a short distance, which we found delightful! The rooms were beautifully decorated and very inviting! We actually thought it was prettier than the pics shown. The kitchen was incredibly supplied with everything that you could want or need for cooking!! Usually you get a very limited amount of choices of cookware and small appliances but not here! We were very impressed!! Everything was spic and span clean. The bed was excellent. We only used one bedroom but I imagine the other bed would be the same! The outback deck was our favorite spot and we saw Guinea hens roaming the property one morning and the cuties bright green lizard came and visited us too! Michelle was an awesome host and was super quick to answer any and all questions. We definitely will recommend this Airbnb to family and friends! And we will return to enjoy it again!

Amazing hospitality, fun board games on the shelf, beautiful views... it was amazing! Michelle was an excellent accommodation expert and her space is well organized with tons of amenities, don't skip this spot!
