Loved Kirkcudbright! Beautiful part of the country, friendly town, loads of cafes , pubs and restaurants… real sense of community! Lovely galleries, two charity shops aimed at improving community facilities…. What’s not to like!!! Visited gatehouse of fleet and castle Douglas wonderful! Jessica provided so many options we will have to come back to enjoy them all!! Finally a visit to Gather for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner is not to be missed as views to die for!!!

Lovely place to stay. In great walking distance for everything you needed. Fire was perfect, so cozy.
Beautiful cottage in the very heart of Kirkcudbright. Very cosy. The wood burning stove is really nice to have. The place was spotless and the beds very comfortable. A home from home. The Internet is high speed and easy to connect too. This cottage is am ideal location for work rest or play. Highly recommended and will be returning amd recommending to my friends and family. Everything was as expected with the lovely welcome of milk and upmarket Jammy Dodger biscuits waiting for us! Much appreciated. Beds were comfy so we slept well. The outside space is nice (we got one sunny evening to try it out). There is plenty to see around the area - loved it! Jessica was quick to respond with any questions. We'd recommend this place :-)

TheLivInGallery’s artworks responds to the local environment. Your stay funds artist/authors residencies. Whatever the weather TheLivInGallery has an extensive library of local literature to curl up with by the fire, or to sunbathe with in the courtyard!
