Really handy for the wedding venue up the road and it was dog friendly. The staff in the pub and the owner were all fantastic and the food was great :)

Our stay at Horsehose & Castles cottage was veey uncomfortable & perfect for our family wedding. We were 2 couples & a toddler and there was enough room and great facilities. The pub staff were very welcoming and always helpful although the food was a bit variable. We very much enjoyed our stay and would go back if we are ever in the area again. If you do stay make sure the staff give you the master key to the cottage (from the key safe) which opens every door otherwise like us you could find yourself locked out of your bedroom!

We were attending a wedding up the road. The venue only offer accommodation for the night of an event and we wanted a two-night break, so this place was just the job. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Thanks Kevin.

A great little cottage suitable for couples or small families. From my stay of five nights the restaurant was open for three. The meals I did have there were all excellent. Wifi from the bar does not reach the cottage, so if you want to shut off from the world, this is the place for you!

This is a lovely little cottage in the gardens of the Horseshoe and castle. Downstairs is comfortable, with a small kitchen which had the basics for cooking. The alternative is eating in the bar's restaurant, which we did on one night. the food was very good . On the downside, the bed was very soft and each time we moved the bed creaked, needless to say after spending 2 sleepless nights at the cottage we were looking forward to getting a good night's sleep in our own bed. There was no communication from Kevin when we messaged for check in details, which was a bit disconcerting. Would I recommend? only if the bed was upgraded and had better communication.
