If you want to experience authentic Fiji, this is the place for you. Comfortable, beach front Bungalow with fantastic sunrises. Incredible food, freshly caught from the sea and grown in the garden. Kava ceremonies that are unforgettable. Lastly, the villagers are so kind and generous. You will leave with memories that will last a lifetime. My suggestion would be to stay at least three to five days, bring a flashlight, and come with an open mind.

Solome and her family are wonderful, beautiful and kind people. We will stay with them again. However, we found out from other villages that Dakua is not a Fijian. He is managing these properties from overseas for an unreasonable fee. I would encourage you to book but do not purchase meals included. That way you can eat at a number of locations on the island and pay cash directly to the locals. You should also know that a Kava Root is not required. They are very expensive and it is not necessary. If you would like you can make a small offering to the chief but a $80 Kava Root is not needed.

Thank you for a wonderful and authentic Fiji experience! We stayed four nights in the traditional, beautiful red beach bure in Naisisili Village and enjoyed every minute of it: Our lovely host Etta and the friendliness of the other villagers who welcomed us with open arms, the meals at the different families, the beach right in front of us, the hammock and two great trips to the blue lagoon and the cave (additional costs). We highly recommend staying here if you want to experience the real Fiji apart from the many resorts.

This is a very authentic Fijian experience. Beautiful location and humble basic facilities. Unfortunately it was so incredibly windy it was hard to be outside most of the day by the water (I think it might be just this time of year) Also worth noting, almost everyone who stayed here got very ill with a fever and throwing up. Not sure if this is due to the food cleanliness or water (even though it’s supposed to be filtered). Unfortunately this made for a very difficult few days after this homestay. If possible try to bring as much as your own food as possible as almost every meal is 2 minutes noodles and rice. Sometimes went days without fruit or vegetables. Despite all of this, the people of the village are very helpful with any request you may have and are very friendly and welcoming. The best meal experience was with the family who makes the coconut oil products for the village - they cared about delivering a nutritional meal and giving us an educational experience. What a wonderful family! To improve future guest stays I would recommend to add fruit and vegetables daily to meals and make sure cooking environments are more sanitary to prevent stomach flus for guests. Also cleaning the shower and bathroom facilities would have been nice as well.
