This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to be away from the typical touristy areas in Maui. It is in Up- Country and near the cute town of Makawau. Penny and her family were great! there was all the amenities you would want and they were always available if you had any needs or questions. I would recommend Penny's place for your next trip to Maui.

Penny's house was great. It was exactly what we needed. She gave us access early which was clutch as we landed at noon hawaii time, took a nap and then headed up to the volcano for sunset. It was a great way to start our family week in hawaii. Plus her children were sweet and our son who was the same age played with their children in the morning which was great. Highly recommended for a family heading up to the volcano. Thanks Penny!

This rental is in a very central location for Maui - 20-30 minute drives to Kula, Makawao, Pa'ia, and beaches. Penny (and Tyler) are great hosts, even letting us use their private gym space to work out! The bed is probably the most comfortable of any Airbnb we've stayed in.

Penny is the sweetest woman ever! Such a lovely host and a lovely person too. Very clean, nice place and a pretty yard!
