Half way in between the Sea and the Moors, Bidwell Lodge offers a tranquil retreat. Fully equipped open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. Bedroom 1 on the ground floor has a Kingsize bed. Bedroom 2 on the first floor has a double bed and bedroom 3 also has a double bed. Bathroom on the ground floor has a bath with a shower. Private fenced garden and parking for 2 cars. Footpath from your garden through woodland to the village of Rattery with its award winning pub, Church House Inn Rattery. Bidwell Lodge is a modern barn-conversion which has just been renovated. It sleeps 6 people with 3 bedrooms. Two bathrooms and a fenced private garden and patio. Parking for two cars.

So peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful lodge in a pretty location. Welcoming hosts who were very thoughtful. We had a lovely time.
Really enjoyed our stay, very peaceful and close to everything we wanted to do. House was lovely and warm with the log burner on really cosy. Everything is clean fresh and new inside. Tim & Anki are great hosts just the right amount of communication, very responsive when you needed them.
Beautiful setting with the sound of the river. Very muddy this time of year but the footpaths on your doorstep are a delight. Very clean house. Friendly hosts.
We had a fantastic stay over Christmas time through to new year. The hosts are very friendly and welcomed us on arrival, they showed us the basics for the house that we needed to know and ensured we had everything we needed. The location is great, it is close to local attractions, many different towns and not far from the sea. Plenty of car park space for two cars which was helpful. The house is absolutely stunning, the bedrooms are cosy and very comfy. The kitchen and living room is spacious for a large family and we enjoyed spending our festive time here in a peaceful location. The views are beautiful, horses in the fields and a stream below the fields. You can walk to a local pub and there is also a few choices of pubs a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again and would like to say thank you very much :)
We loved Tim and Anki's place. It has been newly renovated to.a high standard and really feels very cosy with lovely views over the stream and fields to the woods behind. all the things you need to cook and feel right at hom. Great patio area for warmer days - we went in October and the weather was hit and miss but that meant we enjoyed the wood burning stove all the more.. Tim and Anki were very friendly - lovely gift on arrival and happy to let our daughter say hi to their lovely horses. It is simply the best air B and B we have stayed in, hosted by lovely people and we would plan to return.

Situated in the small hamlet of Venton with beautiful views over a valley with the Bidwell Brook flowing through.
There is a pair of Great Herons nesting near by, you might see them as they regularly fish in the Bidwell Brook just below Bidwell Lodge.
There are Otters in the Brook at Spring as they come up to play from the River Dart.
Bidwell Lodge is a great place to Stargaze from as there is no light pollution and open space.

The historic market town of Totnes is only a short drive away full of cafes and boutique shops. You can park for free for 2 hours at Morrison’s car park.
Ben’s Farm Shop is near full of local produce to fill your pantry.
Dartington Hall is definitely worth a visit.
We have plenty of Beaches near by, the closest is Mothecombe and not very known by visitors.
You can walk along a footpath from Bidwell Lodge through ancient woodland to the Village of Rattery, with its award winning pub The ChurchHouse Inn Rattery.
